The Barber's Blade

The other day, I was having a conversation with my neighbor, and we both were talking about how we both knew we needed to get a clipper of our own and how dangerous it was making use of the clipper at the barbershop, irrespective of how many times they sterilize it or not.

We both agreed on the importance, but we had also agreed that the only reason it wasn't a priority in our lives now was because there hadn't been a person we knew who something terrible happened to just because they used the barber's clipper.

Which, to be honest, is a very messed-up reason, but funny enough, there are a lot of people on this same boat with us. Most people sometimes know that doing a certain thing isn't exactly safe, but then they refuse to do the right thing until something bad happens to someone they know, and then you see them running everywhere, trying to do things right.

Well, it finally happened. A friend of mine had gone to cut his hair a week ago, and according to him, the barber had used a different clipper to probably pull the hair out of his hair, only for him to start feeling some pains in his hair a week later.

It turned out that the part of his head where the barber had taken off all the hair had started to grow some stuff that he could have only gotten from an infected clipper. And now he's running everywhere, trying to do something, anything, to help me cure whatever that thing is.

Luckily for him, the whole infected area doesn't look so serious, and he could actually get out of this one in one piece.

As for me, I went to the market to know how much clippers are being sold for, and it wasn't what I expected. I plan on getting one real soon, though. As for now, I just have to decide if I'm still going to make use of my barber's clipper anymore, or maybe it's finally time to give this Afro a try.
