Good to be Back

The last couple of weeks has probably been the most eventful ones that I've had in years. Luckily for me, it all came to an end some few days ago, or at least that was what I thought.

To be honest, the last few days staying at the camp gave me a feeling I never thought I would get to feel in a place like that, it made me not want to leave because I had made friends and interacted with a lot of people at this point. But like they say, everything that has a beginning, has an end and so did this one.

The final day came, and we all had our last parade. The military made sure to give us a little farewell present by punishing us under the sun. Tough love.

We eventually got to witness the final parade and then we all received our posting letters. This is the letter that tells you what local government area you would be spending the next ten months at. The moment we received that letter, we were even given a moment to breathe as we were all taken to where we would all board different vehicles going to these different local government areas.

And as if that wasn't enough, the moment we had eventually gotten to that place, we were all asked to leave, to go find our place of primary assignment. It was already late, so most of us had to go look for a place to crash as we all were exhausted.

It got to the next day and for some of us, finding our place of primary assignment wasn't a success too. I've probably made more phone calls this past few days than I've made in the last five years and this was because I was trying to gather any and every information that I could find.

Finally, after sorting out a bit of the mess, I decided it was time for me to come back home to rest. At this point I was already a zombie of myself and neither my brain nor anything else was working right. Luckily for me, I've had enough rest, and although all the stress isn't over yet, I've got a few days to myself to get my stuff in order before jumping right into that chaos all over again.

If there's one thing I do have to say though, it is that it's good to be back.
