Electricity Wahala
In a country that lacks power supply, one thing is common, which is everyone or almost everyone having a personal generator that they can turn on from time to time to charge their gadgets and all that. Well, I happen to be one of those people who own a generator, and while that isn't much of a flex, I have an entirely different reason for making this blog.
You see, living in an environment like mine and due to the high cost of petrol, when anyone turns on their generator, everyone tries to charge their phones and gadgets at that person's house because they have no idea the next time we might have a power supply. And while there's nothing wrong with doing that (it has actually become a very common thing to do), it is very stressful for me.
You see, I'm not a huge fan of people coming to my room to charge their stuff, not because I'm a wicked guy or a proud one, but more because I'm a kind person. I say that because back in the day, when I didn't have anything, I would go to my neighbor's room to charge my phone only to go take it back after a few hours and discover that it wasn't charging this whole time.
Knowing how that feels has made me vow never to make anyone go through that same experience from me. So whenever anyone comes to my room to plug in their phones, I always find myself checking on their phones every time, making sure they're all charging.
And while that's a good act to do, it is also an exhausting one, especially when the reason I turned on the generator in the first place is to get a good rest while I receive some cool breeze from the fan with no distraction from anyone or anything.
And it is for this reason why I'm not a huge fan of people knocking on my door to charge their phones. But unfortunately for me, I also don't have the heart to ignore them when they knock, because I also wouldn't like to be ignored myself when I go knock on their own door.
So I guess there's no escaping it.

I can understand your point and I think I would follow your steps if I were in your place also.
I would too.. I just don't want to look like a bad person.
