Body Adaptation

When you think about it, it's scary how easily our body can adapt to almost anything, all you need is time.

A few months ago, when I was just starting my weight-loss journey, I had read somewhere that one of the best ways to lose fats was too fast, preferably intermittent fasting. Prior to this time, fasting has always been something that I struggled with.

I don't always eat breakfast early in the morning, but any day I make up my mind so fast, it's almost as if everything in my body gets activated that day and I find myself feeling very hungry. It always happens to me, so when I started the intermittent fasting, it was very hard for me, but I pushed through.

One day turned into a week, a week turned into a month, and before you knee it, eating breakfast became a myth to me. But it didn't just stop there because I soon noticed that whenever I go to bed feeling hungry, I wake up in the morning feeling fine, almost like I ate in my dream. I know it was just my body eating the fat, and it felt amazing, almost like I had some sort of superpower to control hunger.

It's been more than three months now and in that time I've gone from eating twice a day, to trying to eat once a day, to even going a whole day without anything in my stomach other than water. And what's also incredible is the fact that I no longer shake whenever I feel hungry any more because I know that all it will take is a couple of minute and the feeling will be nowhere to be found.

Lastly, the reason for all of this has also given me a positive result too. I've seen myself lose a good amount of fat, and I'm sure I would have lost more if I had walked more. Anyway, any progress is progress for me, and I'm happy for the result I've got so far.

I was never so concerned about my weight and food because I don't think it's something I need to be worried and I am still maintaining my weight is a standard level without doing anything. So, I can eat whatever I want without worrying about gaining weight.
