Arguably My Worst Year
Last night, I was trying to sleep when my brain did that thing it normally does where it starts thinking about random stuff and one of the stuff I thought about was the year 2020, during the whole COVID-19 era.
That year is probably my most difficult year yet because not only was it the year when everything was shut down, it also happened to be the year I lost my mum. So it's a year I've always wanted to forget, and it is working.
The year 2020 is currently a blur in my memory but last night, I couldn't help but ask myself how people in countries like mine survived, without having to go to work for months or make any money to help you get a proper meal.
I ask this question because when I woke up this morning, I had done a Google search and realized that during that time, a lot of countries provided financial helps and palliative care for their citizens, but what surprised me was the fact that my country was listed amongst those countries when no one got nothing.
The government had got the funds from the World Health Organisation but instead hid all the goods they got with it in warehouses, to the point where when those goods were finally discovered, a lot of it had gone bad.
But that isn't the purpose of today's blog, I'm actually writing this here to hear from you guys (people who live in countries where their government didn't provide any form of help) how you guys were able to survive during one of the most difficult times in recent times.
Unfortunately, I can't remember much about it, so I can't give a personal answer to the question myself. But yeah, I would love to hear from you all.

The real fact is corrupted government. How they hid the funds of people. And why the people kept quiet? What the opponent party was doing?
