Terraria Adventure: Digging Deeper and Killing Bosses!

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

Copy of We're (1).jpg

In the last post, I talked about how I started a new Terraria adventure with Beril and both of us had a tough time with the first night on the surface. We mined to get away from the zombie apocalypse and started to get rare items from chests and ores.

We were mining and exploring the caves under our house to see if we could. Both of us had a tough time with the first night on the surface. We mined to escape and get rare ores to make us better armour and weapons. Our only goal was to keep going down.

We found a 'Lost Girl' in the caves who looked like an NPC character. I went closer to see what she had to say, but then she changed into a Nymph and attacked me. It happened so quickly that I was killed by her. Our ghosts started attacking her, and Beril was behind me, but she got killed as well.

After this incident, I am never trusting any other NPC in this game lol.

We found a house which we converted into a temporary base. Also, fixed the walls and door to make it suitable for living, hoping an NPC would come here and start living. I smelted all the ores to bars and made a powerful sword for Beril. It was called the Blood Butcherer and dealt a lot of damage. But we could make only one.

We kept exploring more caves and going into different underground biomes. Found a lot of hearts which increased our maximum health. Encountered a lot of interesting enemies including bugs, zombies, birds, traps etc.

We encountered our first boss as well. The Eye of Cthulu, I forgot to take screenshots because it was too exciting. This big eyeball which came to kill us. Both of us were freaking out but it wasn't as difficult as I thought and didn't take long for us to take it down.

Its second phase looks terrifying but we took care of it. I hope we didn't trigger something big by defeating this one. I am still not sure what made it spawn in the first place. I am guessing because we killed too many eyes or went too deep?

We narrowly escaped from a Parrot ambush once. One thing I learned from these encounters is that you cannot guess what you are going to find next. There are always interesting things hidden in these caverns and that's the best thing I like so far about this game. A lot of exploring and fighting against.

We still had no idea what made the spawn area appear grey all the time. But I looked it up on the internet and found out that we had a lot of graves in this area lol. We need to remove those.

We have a small base on top of our spawn and another just left to it. That one is occupied by a merchant selling mostly useless and overpriced items. We need to find a way to farm gold soon. Killing the zombies on the surface is not giving enough money.

Also, we went out at night to collect some fallen stars and increase our mana. We don't have magical items which use the mana but it is good to prepare for it...right?

There is a big desert just a few hundred tiles away from our home. We explored it a bit.

And She has a new pet Raccoon for some reason. It doesn't protect her or anything, just follows her everywhere lol.

I love to explore underground more and this time we found a req liquid. I am not sure what this was, probably water-dyed in red colour for some reason.

There are some funny touches to the game like Slimes coming out with umbrellas when it rains. Not to mention all the hilarious death messages like invented gravity or didn't bounce when falling to death. There are a lot of unique death messages and ways to die in this game.

As we went deeper, we found a lot of stronger ores like Tungsten, Platinum or the rare Crimtane. There are a lot of ruined houses in the caves. Some were even underwater and we carefully drained all the water from those houses. Here is one such house which was soon occupied by an NPC too.

We need to work on our storage management as soon as we can. There are a lot of items that we just throw on random chests and these chests kept filling with them. We have to bite the bullet and make multiple chests and organise everything neatly. It sounds boring but should help us in the long run.

Until next time...

It is amazing how this game continues to endure and by the looks of it, it has a good future ahead of it. It is undoubtedly one of the best action, adventure and sandbox games today. I hope you continue enjoying your adventure in Terraria 😁

I think it was earlier this year when I saw a couple of streams of someone playing this. And while it's personally not a game I would play, I was surprised to see the amount of content it has, plus some of the bosses are pretty fun to watch and challenging to beat from what I saw.

NpCs can be annoying, that is why it's important to play alone or with an actual real player
