Shots from the Wild: Horizon Zero Dawn
Hello and welcome back to my blog!

I have been playing Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered on and off. Whenever I log in to this game, rather than doing the story missions and progressing, I end up doing some side quests and distracting myself with the beautiful world. I love the distribution of dangerous machines that are spread all around the different biomes. Hunting them down is much more fun than I have in quests.
I am not playing this game for its story, but because I love to roam around in this open-world game. This is one of the best-looking open-world games that I have played so far, and one of the most modern as well. Its photomode is amazing, but I shifted to no HUD; this way, it is a bit more challenging and a much more immersive experience. I still stop to take some shots in the photomode, but most of the pictures I take now are just raw gameplay.
I am here to show you some of them.
I increased the FOV in this next lake shot, and it came out fine. But I could have framed it slightly better, I suppose. Look at the reflection on the water. This is only at medium settings as well. Water is so hard to simulate in games, but now we have reached such a point where it looks realistic.
I have an entire folder filled with shots of the snowy biomes from different games. I took a lot of such shots in this game as well.

You might have guessed that I love to capture trees in my games, too. This game has some very detailed trunks, and the vegetation is quite dense as well.
The weather is very dynamic, too, and there seems to be a lot of weather presets that automatically trigger. Sometimes it will be clear sky, and the next day it might be a blizzard or foggy. I was roaming around in the forest and suddenly, within a few minutes, it turned from clear sky to quite foggy weather.
Sometime after that, it starts snowing as well. One of the coolest weather changes I experienced in the game so far. I was wandering around as well, so I am not sure if the place had to do something with the weather or if it can really change this quickly.
You can see how it changes the entire look of the place. I went to a similar place again in a new session and experienced a clear sky. You can see how bright it is compared to the last shot.
There are a lot of primitive structures made out of wood and ropes, especially near the settlements. I love to capture them too. The blue ropes give it a distinct look; you can find a lot of blue highlights in the game. It seems like the Nora tribe loves this colour.
I can end this post without showing you a shot of a machine. After all, it is Horizon Zero Dawn. So, here is a Watcher roaming the plains and trying to observe any movements in the bushes.
Let me know if you liked these shots and which one is your favourite.
Thanks for reading.

The both scenery and the action is captured really well. That Watcher shot is good, and the snowy biomes looks amazing as well. Goooood job 👀
