Opened More LadyLuck Packs in Stakehouse Den – But Blackjack Wasn’t Kind

Hello and welcome to my blog.

After a long time, I started investing in another web3 game, StakeHouse Den. I joined the Arcade Colony platform a few days ago. My first purchase was 5 LadyLuck Packs, each of which contains 5 cards, and if you get lucky, you could pull off a legendary card or Gold Foils. I opened 5 packs a couple of days ago and got my first Legendary Joker, which felt extremely lucky to me.

Today, I wanted to buy more cards and stake a few more. But the individual card market seems to be expensive right now, so I went for the LadyLuck Packs again. I bought two more to see if I can pull off some nice cards.

Before I opened these packs, I saw my HotSauce generation progress. It is a humble start as I had 14 Hot Sauce generation. I played a few rounds of Blackjack yesterday and won some of them too. Not much of a Colony winning rewards, but it was a start.

Opening LadyLuck Packs

A single pack contains 5 cards. These cards have varieties like Common (69% chance), Rare (25%), Epic (4%), and Legendary (2%). There is a 4% for the card to be a Gold Foil. You can further increase the chances of getting a Gold Foil from a pack by purchasing and using Gold Flux, which doubles the chances. Similarly, you can buy Legendary Flux and double the chances of receiving a legendary.

Since I was about to open 2 packs or 10 cards, I bought both the Flux just to increase my Gold Foil and Legendary Flux chances. I didn't want to waste those precious packs without using flux. You will be the judge to tell me if it was worth it.

Here is what I got in my first pack.

3 commons and 2 rares. One of the rares, the Queen of Hearts, was even a Gold Foil, which is nice to have. I liked this pack. What do you think?

Keep in mind that these packs will have at least 1 rare in them.

Here is the second pack.

This one also had 3 commons and 2 rares, but none of them were gold foil cards, which makes this pack slightly worse than the last one. None of them had epics or legendary, which is fine because getting them with only 2 packs is highly unlikely even with the Flux.

Merging and Staking

You can merge two or more same cards to increase its level. I got two Jacks of Clubs today, and I had one already. I can merge them together. But I still have 2 more such cards to make it to level 2, which will generate me slightly more Hot sauce per day.

Once I merged these three rare cards, I staked them along with the gold foil card I got. I had to increase my Script Stake to 18. Now I have the HotSauce generation at 21.

Trying my Luck at Blackjack

I had about 14 Hot Sauce generated, ready to be gambled. I chose Blackjack and played about 4 rounds total. Each time I got busted, damn those face cards lol. You can't stay on 14-15, and each time I hit, I got busted. It was bad luck. Yesterday was much better.

I will try other games tomorrow, maybe try my luck at slots.

I am so far down in the leaderboards. But hopefully, with more round winnings, I will be climbing up slowly but steadily. I am also trying to understand the gamerewards function, it is directly related to hotsauce, and although it is not a linear relationship, it is a super-linear function (hotsauce^1.2). So, it matters a lot how much your hotsauce generation is; that's the reason I am trying to increase my hotsauce generation before increasing my Staked Colony tokens. But that doesn't mean I will not be buying and staking some. I have some buy orders put in place, let's see if they execute.

Let me know your strategies in the game. I am still trying to figure out things in this game. Feel free to leave a tip if you have any related to this game.

Thanks for reading...
