My BATTLE MAGE SECRET Weekly Challenge! Holy Protection

Hello there, this is my entry to the new "Battle Mage Secret Weekly Challenge!". If you want to participate or know more about the challenge, click here. This week we have to formulate a strategy with the Heavy Hitters ruleset.

RULESET: Holy Protection
With the Holy Protection ruleset, all the monsters gain the "Divine Shield" ability which will reduce the damage of the first attack to 0.

The 'Holy Protection' ruleset is easy to understand as all the monsters will get the 'Divine Shield' ability which will effectively shield the first attack and won't let our units take damage.
I try to use monsters with 'resurrect' abilities as the resurrected monster will also get the ability again.
Let's see how this ruleset affects my lineup and how I strategies for the following battle. But first, let's focus on my lineup.

My Lineup
This is my lineup for the battle
This was a 48-mana cap battle and it had two rulesets:
Armored Up - All monsters have 2 armour in addition to their normal armour stat.
Holy Protection - All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.
All except Earth elements were active during this battle. I went with Life and used the Grandmaster Rather as my summoner. It gave +1 armor with 'Void Armor' ability so I was protected better against all types of attacks. It gave the 'amplify' ability to the monsters as well but that was not very useful during this battle.
I used the Imperial Knight in the first position. That was no surprise as it is one of the best tanks and should be used at the front and not just for soaking damage it deals a lot of damage as well. A strong tank at the front of the lineup is very crucial to the health of the entire lineup. This cost just 7 mana and I still had a lot to work with.
Time Meddler came in the next position, he is a strong unit as well. Dealing powerful 2 magic attack damage with decent speed. But the best thing about this unit is its 8 hp health and 5 base armour along with the 'Dodge' ability. All these things make him a strong defensive unit as well.
In the next position, I used the Djinn Renova. This was a magic attacker dealing 3 magic damage with good speed. It costs 7 mana as well and had the 'strengthen' ability which increased the health of all my units by 1.
Next in my lineup was another unit that costs 7 mana as well. Adelade Brightwing, another mage dealing 2 magic attack damage and had a lot of health. The best part about this is its abilities which are so powerful and makes it a legendary unit. The 'repair' ability is very useful, especially when paired with a tank with a lot of armour. Also, the 'flying' ability makes it easy to dodge attacks from melee and ranged attackers.
Elven Mystic has relatively weaker attacking strength but its 'Silence' ability is a superpower as it will reduce the magic attack of all enemy monsters and that can be so effective against heavy magic attacks. This unit only costs 4 mana so it was an easy decision for me to include this in my lineup.
Last but not least was another powerful mage called Magi of Chaos. This dealt 3 magic attack damage and came with a good amount of health. Exactly what I needed for my lineup.
Now that my lineup was set let's talk about my strategy for this game.

My Strategy
Since this was a high mana cap battle, and had an 'Armored Up' ruleset as well. I went with a heavy magic attack just to ignore those extra armour granted by the ruleset.
Having the 'Divine Shield' ability pushed me to use a unit with the 'resurrect' ability which will resurrect and apply the 'divine shield' ability again to that unit. That's why I included the Adelade Brightwing in my lineup.
I was also expecting my opponent to use lots of mages just to get through that extra armour, so I used the Elven Mystic as it had the 'Silence' ability.

I will share my battle here, which I have uploaded to YouTube. Battle Link

My opponent used two strong tanks in the front of the lineup but their back line was much weaker and they did not have sufficient protection against magic attackers.
Because of the Divine Shield abilities and strong tanks on both sides, it took almost 2 rounds to see a unit getting off the battlefield. While my tank was tanky enough to hold the attackers at bay.
Finally, at round 3, my Imperial Knight got knocked out momentarily only to be resurrected with 9 armour and a 'void shield' ability. This made him also invisible again for a long time. All this time my mages were dealing a lot of damage to their secondary tank and that got eliminated as well leaving just lower health units.
It was time for a simple clean-up now while my Imperial Knight still stood strong at the front. The 'repair' ability was very useful during this ability and the resurrect performed so well. My units cleared the battlefield with ease once tanky units were off the field. This granted me a super easy win at the end. One-way traffic from round 3 onwards.

Conclusion
Holy Protection is an interesting ruleset, monsters with a 'resurrect' ability should be very effective in this ruleset. But don't go out of the way to try and fit a monster, if a monster fits the role in your battle and it also has the 'resurrect' ability then definitely go and use it.
I resort to the fundamentals of the game if I don't have many options with the 'resurrect' abilities. I use a strong tank and maybe a secondary tank as well to make the frontline as strong as possible (just like I did in the above battle) and attack from the middle and end of the lineup as much as you like. Also, sometimes securing the end of your lineup is useful to counter those 'sneaky' monsters, especially in the higher mana cap battles.
Let me know if this ruleset bothers you or if you just ignore it and go back to the fundamentals and don't do anything special.
