Medved vs. Savannah – Which Reserve is More Beautiful?
Hello and welcome back to my blog!

theHunter: Call of the Wild is such a beautiful game... it might be the best-looking hunting simulator out there. I have yet to test another big title called "Way of the Hunter", but it doesn't seem to be this visually stunning.
There are so many different reserves in the game, which are available in the form of DLCs, and today I will show you two of those with contrasting atmosphere and visuals, but both look amazing.
The first reserve for today is called Medved-Tiaga. It is covered with snow, likely based on the Siberian wilderness. There are a lot of frozen lakes, snow-clad mountains and forests.
These frozen lakes are good places for hunting. Even though the lakes are fully frozen and you can walk on them and see that there is no drop of liquid water here, these animals still seem to be drinking air lol. It breaks the immersion of realism. But still, it looks pretty amazing.
I love snow, and hunting in this map is such a nice experience. With the summer heat here in my place, I would gladly go there, even if I freeze to death lol.
You can find Moose here in large numbers. Females are easier to hunt than their male counterparts, probably because males give more trophies, Xp and cash.
Forests here are a bit difficult. Animals can hide there easily as compared to the open white lakes.

There is an old railway line that goes through the middle of the reserve. It looks so old that even grass is growing inside the tracks.
Now, let me take you to a warm place, somewhere in the south-western African Savannah. This map is called Vurhonga Savannah and is one of the most iconic maps. This is the only map where you can even hunt Lions (or get hunted by them).
These massive plains are such a good place to hunt many animals. This reserve is famous for hosting so many unique species of animals like Springboks, Lesser Kudu, Lions, Wildebeest, etc. But not just plains, this reserve has other biomes like woodlands, swamps and forests. The easiest of them is the open flat plains, so you can see your prey from a large distance. Many of these animals have a good sense of smell and hearing, so the ability to see them from far is very beneficial in this game.
You either hunt here or get hunted down. A lioness took me by surprise when she came out of the bushes and charged at me. I tried to take a shot but missed it, and that was my end. The classic case of the hunter getting hunted. Even in the Taiga reserve, there are no overly aggressive animals. Only bears who don't charge at you unless they are cornered and have nowhere to go.
Springboks are another iconic species found here. I like their fur pattern, and I don't feel so good hunting these cute animals. The 'spring' in their name comes from the fact that they jump high like springs. They run away by jumping like this, too.
Sunsets and sunrises here are just magical. You will hardly see a lot of clouds in the sky, but once in a while, when it becomes stormy then the entire sky turns orange during the sunsets. I captured some last rays of sunlight with the unique trees that I found here.

Let me know which reserve is your favourite and why? Visually, I like the Snowy one, but for the overall experience, Vurhonga Savannah is a bit better with the diversity of animals.
Thanks for reading.
