Layton Lakes Reserve: Where It All Began in The Hunter: Call of the Wild
Hello and welcome back to my blog!

It's been some time since I shared anything in this community. The Hunter: Call of the Wild is one of the games that I have been playing for so long, and I still haven't got bored playing it, just because of the variety of maps and animals to hunt in the game. Sometimes I just play it to enjoy the views, as it is one of the most realistic hunting simulators out there.

They keep adding new maps every few months, which keeps it fresh. But today, I will be showing you visuals and shots from one of the oldest maps in the game, Layton Lakes.

Layton Lakes is the default map in the game, so when I started playing it, I spent many hours learning to hunt here. This map made me fall in love with the game.
Like the name suggests, it has a lot of lakes and water bodies. These are perfect hotspots for animal activity.

The long reeds on the boundary of those lakes make them a good spot for hiding and increase the difficulty of this game. Whitetails love to hide there.

The golden brown hues of this map are something I always liked, and make spotting deer harder. The way the grass interacts and gets crumbly, indicating an animal trail, is such a good addition. I don't remember if this was always there, but I am noticing it a lot lately. These small details make it more realistic.

There are a lot of animals to hunt here. My favourites are Whitetails, Blacktails, Black Bear and Moose. Hunting with bows is very satisfying in this map, as you will find plenty of cover to hide and wait for animals to approach very close to you.

Mallards were added to this map later, so now you can do duck hunts here on this map as well. But when I started playing it, they were not here, and the lakes seemed more empty than now.

I carry shotguns with birdshot shells on me all the time for these smaller animals.
One of the things I love about this map is the weather. For the most part, it is clean and perfect for hunting, but occasionally it gets foggy and completely changes the look and feel of this reserve.

These extreme weather conditions do help you to sneak and get close to animals easily, but the initial spotting of your game gets tough. That doesn't mean it looks bad. Look at this!

One of the tougher animals to hunt here is the Black Bear. They like to be alone and don't let you get too close to them. Let's see if you can spot a bear in this next shot.

Layton Lakes is one of my favourite reserves, not because of how much I have hunted here, but because of how good the landscape is... Big lakes, varied terrain, huge mountains in the backdrop and plenty of forests make this a good first reserve. No wonder you start here as a newbie.
I will leave you with this last shot that perfectly encapsulates my thoughts about this reserve.

Let me know your thoughts about this reserve and which one is your favourite shot in the post.

At first, I thought you are on a trip somewhere 🤭. Graphics are so realistic. The OG shotgun 🥰. Kudos to the perfectly times Screenshots 👏👏.
I love these hyper-realistic graphics, I'm always going to say it and it's impossible not to say it because you always do a great job on them, and your wedding adventures are amazing, there are animals that I never imagined would be in a video game
