Kye’s Domination Through Life Leech

Hello, gamers. Hope you all are doing well. Many interesting abilities in Splinterlands help you in battles, and everyone has their own favourites among these abilities. I have a short list which I love a lot. One of them is Life Leech, which increases the health and max health of your unit. The amount increased every time it attacks is 50% of its attack (that too rounded up), which in some cases can work really well.
There are many units with this cool ability. One of my favourite units is Runemancer Kye, just because of the big attack damage that can help it get a lot of max health very quickly if it is not meeting any major resistance from your opponent. I will share a battle that highlights how this ability works really well on some cards. Let's see the stats of my highlight card before moving forward.

Runemancer Kye

RuneMancer Kye is one Legendary Water unit from the Riftwatcher set and is one of the most versatile damage dealers in that set. It comes with a lot of base health and armour even at level 1, which lasts long because of its 'flying' and 'life leech' ability. These two abilities make it a versatile unit in my lineup; it can be put in any place and will still work because it deals a good amount of magic damage. I usually like to put it in the frontline to utilise its 'Life Leech' ability even more. Having extra also helps me in making that decision.
I will show you how sometimes its max health becomes massive.

My Lineup & Strategy
This is my lineup for the battle
The ruleset for this battle was Thick Skinned, which is one of the new rulesets that I was not very familiar with as a returning player in the game. With a 42 mana cap, it was providing enough freedom for me in terms of mana cost.
I went with "Kelya Frendul" as my summoner, which gave all my units an extra shield and more speed. Both of which helped my units last even longer. The longer this battle goes, the more effective Life Leech will prove.

Runemancer Kye was placed in the first position on my lineup because it came with a good amount of health and extra armour. The flying and life leech helping it last even longer, I was confident that it would take at least a couple of rounds to defeat this unit, if not more.
Another tanky unit was Djinn Oshannus in my lineup, which was played as a backup tank just in case things went bad. It dealt 2 magic attack damage and is one of the best units for costing just 8 mana.
I wanted to provide extra support to my frontline, so I added Venari Wavesmith and Merdaali Guardian in the third and fourth position, respectively. They were giving more armour and heal, which makes the frontline last even longer.
Doctor Blight was used as a source of poison and extra attack damage. It was a relatively cheap unit, but with some very helpful abilities that helped enormously in this battle. Affliction is sometimes very helpful in high mana cap battles, so the opponent's unit cannot heal every round.
Henchling Enforcer was at the end of the lineup as a means to reduce the attacking strength of my opponent because of its halving ability. Another ability that I love a lot in this game and can be very strong in most cases.
I was feeling fairly confident about this lineup. The extra armour, heal, and life leech are nothing to be taken lightly.

I will share my battle here, which I have uploaded to YouTube.

You can see from the above video how my team annihilated the opponent's team with ease. This game lasted for 11 rounds, and by the end, my Runemancer Kye had total health and max health of 25, which is insane. That's why I love Life Leech ability, it works really well sometimes, and when it works, it gives you almost no time to recover.

I know my opponent didn't plan well for this ruleset and used all non-magic attackers, which cannot directly attack the health before depleting all the armour. It is important to notice the effect, affliction and poison had in this battle.
Conclusion
This battle reminded me why Life Leech is one of my favourite abilities in the game; it can get out of hand really quickly if left unchecked, especially on units like Runemancer Kye that deal a lot of damage and come with good health to start with.
What do you think about this ability? What are your favourite abilities that are fun to use and can be so devastating for your opponents.
