Ghost of Tsushima Became the Ghost of Yarikawa Too!
Hello and welcome back to my blog!

I shouldn't have started Elden Ring in the middle of Ghost of Tsushima playthrough because most of my gaming time is occupied by it lately. The constant hunger to grow more powerful and beat one more boss or explore one more place doesn't let you close the game once you start. I didn't expect Elden Ring would make me forget about Ghost of Tsushima. I am here to tell you about the update in Tsushima.
Last time, I told you about the retravel of Sakai Armour and a memorable trip to Omi Village. Today, I will tell you about the most intense mission so far.
Ghost of Yarikawa
Yarikawa is a clan that once rebelled against the Samurai clans, but their rebellion was crushed. This was before the Mongols came in, and now, Jin had the task of convincing them to fight against the Mongols. When we reached the fortress of Yarikawa, it was surrounded by a heavy Mongol army, so we had to sneak in, meet the leaders, but they didn't yet trust Jin.
Mongols had had enough of waiting, and they launched a major offensive attack. Hundreds of Mongols were coming through the gates with all their might. It was an intense battle as we tried to defend the gates and then go on to destroy the trebuchets so the attack wouldn't be successful. Otherwise, this fortress is going to fall into the Mongol hands.
As we came back after destroying the siege weapons, the gates of the fortress were overrun by the Mongols. We had to kill a lot of them from behind. Using many tricks that I doubt Uncle Shimura calls honourable. Finally, we face off the general, a strong Mongol leader.
It wasn't a tough fight, a bit of a challenge, but nothing seems tough after getting addicted to Elden Ring lol.
At the end of the fight, we finish him off with style, chopping off his head clean. It unlocked a new 'Ghost stance' that makes enemies terrified of your presence, and they try to run away, fall over on the ground or just stay stunned, and you kill them easily. This 20-second clip is one of the most memorable things so far from this game. I would even rate it top 5 best moments in video games that pumped me so much.
People started chanting Ghost! Ghost! And that's how we managed to recruit the Yarikawa clan to fight against the Mongols.
More Side Missions
I completed a few side missions involving Sensei Ishikawa. Not a big fan of him and his missions. The guy is too into himself, trying to catch his former student who joined the Mongol side. I have my suspicions about him lol.
Got a lot of upgrades going on. I focused a bit too much on doing the side activities and gaining xp to level them up. They are getting expensive as well, with many requiring 2-3 technique points.
We had to send a message to the Shogun, but the Mongols controlled all the water. Lord Shimura knew a guy who could do that for us, but we had to distract the Mongols, and that's what we did example. Uncle Shimura and Jin charged right into the Mongol territory and killed hundreds of men.
We took down some Mongol ships using the weapon which holds hundreds of arrows and shoots them. (Not sure who was reloading all the arrows there, but who cares lol)
It was a cool fight scene. Quite different from what we were doing so far.
The game is so damn beautiful with the same places looking different in different weather condition and time of the day. Even with all these variables, it still manages to look good. I have taken some nice shots in the game that I can use as wallpaper. I even used one of them for a long time.
I will be playing it more often. I feel like we are at the end of the second act, with most of the map of this area already been explored. There are still many Mongol outposts remaining here, so it will take a bit of time to fully liberate this middle region. It is time to retake Castle Shimura. I have some good expectations for that mission. The Ghost of Ishikawa mission suddenly raised the bar so high that the next mission could seem bad. So, I have to go with lower expectations somehow.

Ghost is a fantastic game. I complain frequently about cutscenes or cinematics in video games but I genuinely enjoyed all the ones they incorporated into Tsushima. That's one of the finest games of its type ever made in my opinion.
I agree, man. I had some doubts before playing but they did well with the game and I am probably just half way into the story.
Since I have been getting rather frustrated with the games I have chosen recently I may just go back and play this one again or just continue the game in the optional areas that I didn't complete after finishing the main story.
Did you ever play Assassin's Creed Valhalla?
No, I haven't played it yet. Have you?
no, but since it is free I was thinking about giving it a shot. I already know what is going to happen though: I will get bogged down in side-quests and get bored of the game overall because of this, then walk away before even making any sort of real progress in the main story :)
lol, something like that would happen to me too.
I haven't heard about this game but it looks very interesting for a horror game. Wonderful post 👍
Not exactly a horror game but some boss gives you trauma for sure haha
That's awesome it has the vibe.
One of the games I always wanted to play but never found the time let along the comitment to properly do so. I do really enjoy all the screenshots of this game though.
You speak my mind. It really happens. I don't understand how 2/3 hours pass when I start playing the game. 😁
And as always great photos by you.😇
Woww
So, Elden Ring messed up with your difficulty perception, huh? Everything feels easier after surviving those bosses? lol. I need to try those bosses in Elden Ring before trying GoT as well so I become a pro assassin from the beginning, hahaha.
hahaha for sure, you will be thinking of increasing the game's difficulty after playing Elden Ring.
Yeah I guess so.
This game is really amazing. I like these kinds of adventure games very much. The graphics quality of this game looks very good. If I had a computer, I would play this game. Your gameplay is very good. I like it very much😊
Giving a break to Elden Ring sounds fine. Especially when a game is this beautiful... Some patience would be good for you. And not gonna lie I love to watch you play Ghost.
😄 This is the game that I want to play too but damn, the price is still expensive. I wonder if they're going to do some Steam Sale. Did you get this game on Steam or GoG?
I don't think it is available on GOG yet, I got it from Epic game store at about 30% discount. There was a sale on Steam last month as well, with like 33% discount or something, many bought it then too.
I think the Steam's Summer sale would be the biggest upcoming sale, in about 2 months from now on. Likely we will be seeing it at a good discounted price.
