Capturing the Magic of Hollow Knight!
Hello and welcome back to my blog!

A few days ago, I installed a Mod in Hollow Knight that allows me to hide the HUD (and even the Knight), gives me the ability to zoom in and out and a few more tricks that enable me to capture the beauty of this gorgeous game. I shared a post already with some nice shots that I am using as my wallpaper.
I decided to add more shots to this folder. Because I had a 10-minute switch on the slideshow folder, I was seeing a lot of the same shots again and again, so I booted up the game to take a lot more shots. The folder now has 50 odd shots in it. Let me share some of the best here with you so you can use them if you like. I permit you to use any of the shots from this post in any way you like.
Team Cherry used benches in a lot of creative ways. I liked the ones found close to Nailmaster huts. Compare it to the more standard version of the metal benches that are found throughout the Hallownest.
The next one is just outside the Grey Mourner's hut.
Only a few are close to Hot Springs, like the following. The art team did a great job of blending most of the benches with the nearby aesthetics so they don't stand out too much and blend well with the overall atmosphere of the scene.
My favourite bench design is close to the Colosseum, where you sit next to Tiso. But everyone else seems to be in deep thought, maybe they are thinking about how they will fight all the bugs in the Colosseum and become the champion.
The last bench, which I think is the most unique one, is just a bug's shell next to the Leg Eater lol.
That's enough about the bugs, let's talk about some creatures. I already shared the picture of Leg Eater. He is only one weird bug out of many in this game.
One of them even gave some sermons to his disciples. Sadly, the infection got him along with his followers.
The game tells a lot of things indirectly. From background structures to signposts and dead bugs. Crystal Peaks is a cool place where some bugs tried to harness the powers of Crystal. Here you find a useful item called Crystal Dash as well.
Some of the automated machines and infected bugs are still mining those magical crystals.
On top of the crystal peaks, you find the statue of the Radiance. A very important character in the lore of the game. It was once worshipped by the Moth Tribe, but now it is in a bad state. We don't have a proper timeline for the game, so we have no clue when these events too place but looking at the state of this statue, it looks quite old.
Every place in the game has a distinct characteristic to it. Greenpath and Queen's Garden have lush green leaves taking over the entire place. Very lively place too.
While other places like Deepnest are very hostile and harder to traverse. Less saturated colours and low lighting, and a lot of dead bodies everywhere. One of the most deadly places in the whole game is the Deepnest. You will find death and destruction everywhere here.
Many places in the city house bugs that are less savage than the ones found in the outskirts of the kingdom. Likely because they had the protection of the king and didn't have to fight for the resources all the time. One of the reasons why these bugs drop a lot of Geos and are easy to deal with.
I love the way the game uses lights, too. They are using flies are their source of light.
So many small details in the game that many people don't even realise until they start seeing all the background and think about all the little things in each room.
Which one is your favourite place from the game?

That MOD that allows you to hide the HUD was a very good addition to the game. Now you will be able to better appreciate the details of the scenery as you show us.
