A Lucky Day in StakeHouse Den
Hello and welcome to my blog.

I am back with another update on my StakeHouse Den's journey. StakeHouse Den is a play2earn casino game on Hive that I have had my eyes on for some time. It is the only web3 game that I am currently playing. Although I want to return to playing some Splinterlands battles, I don't have the time to study new cards and strategies after my long break from the game. Coming back to this casino game, there are multiple games you can play inside it. Blackjack, Roulette, and Slots are the games you can currently play. Out of these three, I like Blackjack the most, and I spend most of my in-game currency on that one.
It is not a simple gambling game; there is an initial investment required for you to play it. The way it works is you can only bet with the currency called Hot Sauce, and to generate it, you need to stake cards, which are only opened by buying Packs or by purchasing individual cards from the market. The market price seems to be high for cards right now, so I recommend you to buy packs if you want to get into it. These packs are called Ladyluck packs, and I bought and opened 8 of them so far in my journey. Depending on the rarity of cards you pulled from these packs, you generate more Hot Sauce if you stake rare cards. Just keep in mind that each card staked requires 2 Script tokens to be staked, which can be bought from Hive-engine.
Since I logged in after a long time in the game today. I was pleased to see that my refrigerator was almost full of HotSauce. 439 HotSauce is ready to be used in various games. I wanted to spend most of it in Blackjack because I felt I could do the best in that game.
Playing Blackjack
I can't gamble away all of the Hotsauce in one round, so I decided to split the bet of 50 and play multiple rounds.
The first round was lucky for me. I saw 20 on the table and decided to stay with that. It is the second-best thing you can have in this game.
My Colony Staking factor is pretty low (only 1.21), so I didn't get a great reward for winning this round. I got only 0.23 Colony tokens, but a win is a win.
With this lucky energy, I started the next round, which I had to stay at only 17 because I didn't want to get busted. But 17 gives you no confidence in winning this round, and I lost it.
I went for the third round and managed to get to 21 when I hit. The dealer busted, and I won this third round. Seems like my luck is back with me.
The next round, I managed to get a Blackjack!
Is it my lucky day today? I played two more rounds after winning the last two rounds in a row. I won one and lost one. But that's the nature of this game.
I was overall happy with my winnings in Blackjack and wanted to try my luck in roulette as well. I had about 140 Hotsauce to gamble.
Playing Roulette
I played a total of two rounds, betting 30 Hotsauce in each, and went for the red colour bet, which I usually go for. Maybe I could have gone for a single number, but I didn't trust my luck that much. A single colour seemed to be a much safer bet to me.
I lost the first round but won the second one. A solid 50-50 in Roulette. I remember the last time I played the wheel, it was a similar outcome.
Maybe my luck will shine again in Slots? I knew that the odds in slots are worse than the wheels, I think. I am not entirely sure, but I rarely won anything good at slots. It was time to test my luck there.
Playing Slots
I went with the automatic spin option, betting 10 Hotsauce in each spin. I like this automatic spin feature; you can just sit and watch the outcome of the games.
I placed about 11 spins and watched it lose over and over. Until just the last round, where I won a x2 odds. A usual day at the slots for me. That's why I don't spend much in this game.
I had placed a card to sell on the market, so I went and checked if it was still there. Well, there seems to be very little interest in the market for individual cards, and it makes sense, too. Those prices are a bit high for now. I went to see the price of the Script token on the H-E market, and the split was too high as well. There seems to be a bit shortage of liquidity. I didn't go for the additional Script token purchase, which I initially wanted today. Rather, I bought some DEC with my extra Hive, which I will spend on Splinterlands this weekend.
It was a good day at StakeHouse Den for me overall. Had a great time with Blackjack, and I will rest and let my refrigerator fill back up before I play again.

Thanks, bro.
You're welcome brother
I'm sorry to hear your luck was bad at the slots, man. I tried the slots yesterday too, and unlike you, I managed to win 3 times in 10 games. So it was quite a lucky day for me.
You mentioned the Colony Staking factor is 1.21. How many Colony tokens do you need to stake to reach that? I can buy some now and increase the tokens I earn from my winnings.
I staked 6000 Colony Tokens for that 1.21 factor. I think it depends on the overall staked tokens and your staked tokens, so if everyone stakes, maybe it will go slightly down.
I can buy some tokens. Maybe not 6000 but 2500. Yeah it will change the reward pool
