"Morey Plains" A High-altitude Plateau .
Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is all about nature and its beauty. By the way, I definitely make a post in the photographylovers community once a week. And this week's post is here. The beautiful mountainous area that is seen in today's post is Morey Plains. Today I will talk to you in detail about Morey Plains. In which I will also give information on how to reach it. I will tell you as much information as I have about this place. Along with this, I will also talk about the natural beauty of this region. So let me start today's post.
First of all, if I give detailed information about this place, then Morey Plains which is also known as Moor Plains. This Morey Plains is a beautiful and wide plateau located in the Union Territory of Ladakh of India. This place is located on the famous Manali-Leh Highway. It is said that this highway is one of the most adventurous and scenic roads in the country. The natural beauty of which can be seen in the photograph above. This stretch of land is unlike any other area of the Himalayas. Because despite being located at a very high altitude, it is known for its flatness and wide open spaces. Because in the Himalayan region you will see mountains, but only in some places can you see flat land.
As can be seen in the photograph above, in the middle of the picture is a yellow milestone placed by the Border Roads Organization of the Indian Army. It carries a message in Hindi that says, "Enjoy the natural beauty of the Himalayas". This yellow board reminds tourists to appreciate the untouched beauty of nature in this remote part of the Himalayas.
The photograph above shows a beautiful road passing through the mountains which disappears as it goes further. However, the road seen in the photograph looks dark and a little rough. Which passes through the vast, flat land of the plateau. On both sides of the road are spread brown and gray hills. In which there are some light pieces of sand and rocks. Which shows the dry and desert-like nature of this region. The cloudy sky above adds a dramatic feel to the scene. The clouds cast soft light shadows on the hills, making this mountainous region and the surrounding flat plains even more magical.
If you look carefully at the photograph above, one thing will definitely come to your mind. In this area, you will not see any trees, houses and people for a long time. Here you will see a beautiful view of nature complete with plains and high mountains for a long time. This area is a peaceful and silent place that gives a feeling of peace and freedom, far away from the busy city life.
The peak of the mountain that is visible in the photograph above is a sharp and jagged peak. Which shows a unique example of natural sculpture. The slopes are steep and covered with fine stones and gravel. There are no trees, greenery or snow on this mountain. There is only soft shades of brown and gray soil and stones. The texture of the land here looks simple from a distance. But in reality it is full of small rocks and rough terrain. In this photograph, the quiet power of the Himalayan mountains can be seen standing in the plains. These photographs remind us that different parts of nature have their own charm. Like some are green and full of life. While some dry regions are peaceful.
Morey Plains is located on the Manali-Leh Highway. If you are coming from Manali, then on the way to reach Morey Plains, you will have to pass Rohtang Pass, Keylong, Jispa, Baralacha La, Sarchu and Pang. In which the distance from Manali to Morey Plains is about 235 kilometers. To cover this distance by road, you have to travel for 10 to 12 hours. To visit this place, you have to take special care that during the winter season from June to September, this highway gets closed due to snow. This is what I have talked about coming from Manali. If you are coming from Leh, then the road to reach Morey Plains includes Upshi, Tanglang La Pass and Debring. The distance from Leh to Morey Plains is 150 kilometers, which takes about 5 hours to cover.
Morey Plains is located at an altitude of about 4,800 meters above sea level. This altitude separates this plain from other plains. This plain is a flat stretch of land surrounded by high mountains on both sides. The road passing through this area is very smooth and wide. Which makes it different from the usual mountain roads which are narrow and winding. As I have mentioned earlier, this region is known for its barren beauty. The land here is dry. The air is thin due to the height of this area. There are no trees or villages here, there are only wide open spaces, rocky soil and a few patches of grass.
After visiting More Plains, I felt that this place is also popular among adventure seekers, bikers and nature lovers. People who travel on the Manali-Leh highway often stop here to admire this place and take photographs. I believe that More Plains is a high altitude desert land. Which offers a rare and unforgettable experience. Also, due to the high altitude and the weather conditions, travelers should also be careful.
