Green Valley with Mountains in the Background.

I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. My post today is based Qurator's Photo Quest Contest topic is Green. Now if I talk about today's topic here, today's topic is completely different. If you look around you, you will find photographs on today's topic. Now let me talk a little about today's topic green. My post today was made on something of green color (not based on nature). But I like to spend time in the presence of nature and I also have numerous photographs based on natural green color. So I have presented natural green color in my post today. I have been participating in Qurator's Photo Quest for a long time now. But I have not been successful in this contest for some time. Even today, I am making a post on the topic "Green" in Qurator's Photo Quest. I hope that you will like my post and photographs.

The scene seen in the photograph above presents the captivating landscape seen from the courtyard of Shey Palace in Ladakh. Standing on She Palace, one can see vast expanses of lush green fields and trees spread across the valley. The lush green fields and trees seen in the valley are apt for today's topic. The greenery seen in this photograph looks more enchanting as it clearly contrasts with the barren brown mountains in the background. Ladakh is known for its high altitude desert. However, the places around Shey Palace are full of fertile patches of land. Here, the villagers grow crops and vegetables. The fields in the above photograph are neatly divided. Some small water ponds can also be seen in this photograph. Which shows the importance of water management in this arid region.

As can be seen in the photograph above, the winding roads and stone boundaries around the fields give the entire area a peaceful and beautiful look. In this photograph, mighty mountains stand beyond the green valley. The slopes of these mountains are exposed and rugged, painted in shades of brown and grey. These mountains stand tall and serene as if they are protecting the valley. Above these mountains, the sky with patches of white clouds makes the scene even more picturesque. Shey Palace was once the home of the Ladakhi kings. This palace overlooks the vast valley as if it is watching over it. From this elevated position, the beauty of the land is visible in all directions. Which makes it easy to understand why this place would have been chosen as a royal residence.

The photographs above not only show the natural beauty of Ladakh but also the balance between man and nature. With this, I will end my post today. But before I go, I must say that the view of Shey Palace is truly unforgettable. This wonderful gift of nature, shaped by the mountains and nurtured by the hands of the people of Ladakh.
