Jumpsuits for my little baby- first trial.

Hello everyone and happy weekend
Its with great delight rhat am here to share with you the beautiful jumpsuit i made for my daughter
This is her first ankara fabric jumpsuit
And am glad it fit in perfectly well

The materials i used were quite simple

Ankara fabric
Black zip
Scissors
Thread

The first step i took was to divide the fabric into two parts
With intention to sew the down side which is the short first before joining it with the top

Since it was for a kid i folded the material into four
and i gave it a cut,i took the same measurements for the front and back of the short
It wasn't to be so tight so i added more inches to it.
And i sewed through.

Next Step
For the top, i took my baby's half-length
Her half-length was 9ches i took extra inche for sewing allowance.
For her neck measurements,i took 21inches horizontally and two and a half inch for vertical.

I took her shoulder measurements and i sloped the shoulder .
Her burst measurements was 21 and i added 21inches allowance to it because i didn't want it to be too tight on her.hence,i sewed through.

Next step
When i was through,i cut out the hand
I just needed a small hand for her,and after attaching it i also inserted an elastic to it

Last step
After sewing all through,i created a long rope from the ankara fabric and i attached it through the material.

As at the time i had finished,it was already late,i had spent so much time on the jumpsuit because that was my first time of sewing a jumpsuit style
My baby couldn't wear it that night.
But unfailingly she had to used it the next day as we step out.

I was so overwhelmed as i saw the joy radiating from my baby's face,i knew she loved it
This makes me happy and i feel satisfied despite the stress involved.
