I tried re-creating a skirt that I saw at a dressing shop for my princess.
Hello everyone @diyhub community ,how are you all doing?
I welcome you all to a splendid and beautiful new week
My day has been a beautiful day and i am hoping and looking forward for better days ahead.

Today,i want to share with you the skirt i made for my princess.
Being a mom has taught me alot especially when it has to do with fashion and fabrics.
I had this left over fabric that i couldn't use for months, truthfully i didn't even think it would be enough for sewing except to combine it with another fabric,i had checked out the fabric earlier and i wasn't inspired to use it.
Recently i saw a red colour flare skirt at a fabric shop
I loved it and i imagined my daughter wearing it,but the price was so high that i could not get it.
Hence,i promise myself that i could make something simpler for her.
Till that same day,i was going through my stuff for and i saw this red fabric,i picked it immediately and kept it where i could easily see it for use.
Here are the simple materials i used:
- Red colour net
- Red colour fabric
- Scissors
- Measuring tape and
- Elastic

First step
The first step i took was to fold the fabric, using ful flare cutting, the measurements i took was her waist measurement and her length.

Second step
The second step was to cut the net the same way i had cut the fabric but the only difference was in the length,i added five inches to it because i was trying to recreate the style i saw at the fabric shop.

Next step
After cutting,i took it to the sewing machine and i started sewing, also attaching the net to the fabric.

Final step
The final step was to get the elastic,i created waist band for it and i sew it round.

My princess skirt was ready,it wasn't exactly what i saw at the dress shop but it was similar and i am glad i could do something for her,

Thank you for sharing this interesting art of sewing clothes and creating skirts with extraordinary skill.
