A diy bag for my self using ankara fabric.
Hello friends @diyhub community it's been an awesome day, hopefully yours is going on fine.
There were times I wondered what I'll do with left over fabrics i had left, especially those that wasn't big enough for sewing clothes.
Well, though i wasn't sure with what i was to do with them,i carefully packed them and kept them one place
Today while arranging my stuff i saw this nice ankara fabric,it was a fabric i loved so much,it was the left over piece,i had already sewed a dress with it.
I took it out and i told myself that, I'll be creative with it.
And a thought of making an ankara bag came into my mind.
Here are the materials i used
- Ankara fabric
- Scissors
- Sewing machine with thread and needle
The first step i took was to spread out the fabric
I trimmed off the excess part to the size i wanted.
The next step was,i took the fabric from the middle and i tied it in the middle.
The next step i took was,i sewed both sides of the fabric after tieing it from the middle.
From the image below that was how it looked like after sewing from both sides
After that i then sewed the down part of the fabric to close it.
I got a black fabric to create a bow for the bag to beautify it the more
I cut out a sizable square shaped design and i got a needle and a thread and i sewed it
After that i attached the bow to the bag
And my bag was ready.
Am gald i could make this Ankara bag for myself,i know its going to be so useful for me and my kids because being a mom sometimes means you have to go around with a big bag.
Your DIY bag turned out great. The creativity and effort you put into it really shows. Keep up the amazing work.
