The Agege Walk

My entry for this week's #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay, was around Agege axis part of Lagos state. This part of the country is on the mainland. Lagos state is a south west state part of Nigeria. This state is with the slogan "Centre of Excellence". It is one of the smallest and yet richest in the country. Lagos is divided into mainland and Island. While the Island is known to inhabit higher numbers of wealthy individuals, the mainland is just like a general place that everyone is both rich and poor.

I am not very familiar with this part of the state unlike the Island, Lekki to be precise. I just wanted to get there and be familiar with the area. I have heard stories of people getting robbed of their phones and items. But, getting there, the story is a different thing entirely. It was just rumors that was spread about it. It is a calm place as every one is going about their business.

The market women are advertising their goods, while conductors are calling passengers, everyone is just minding their individual businesses. No one is trying or attempting to rob anybody as some people has painted the area. There is no particular means of transportation. There were as many buses as there are mini buses, there was as many tricycles as there is motorcycles, there are even a lot of long buses available. I love the area and most importantly the way every one is going about their individual businesses
