A Stroll Around Lekki Ikate

Hello to all my wonderful Hiveans all over the globe. It is another Wednesday to walk around your city and share a story about it in our weekly #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay. It is so unfortunate that @tattoodjay needed to take a break and I wish him a successful surgery and a quick recovery afterwards. We should not forget him in our prayers as we keep the community booming even in his absence. We try as much as possible to keep it lively so when he returns he will meet an engaging community that love him so much and care about his health and what he is doing.

My today's walk is around Ikate somewhere in Lekki Phase one, Lagos in Nigeria. This place is one of the second most expensive place to live on the Island after Banana Island which ranks first. As you can see from the photograph the streets seems to be very quiet and peaceful. This is not only because today is Wednesday but because we are approaching end of the year and people have started traveling out of the country already. While others are going for business trips others are going for holiday. This is because the summer period is about to end and we are already approaching winter already.

Also, the Halloween day is approaching and some families love to partake in it live and direct rather than being told the story, they love to be the story. There is also the Thanksgiving coming too, therefore there are many reason for the area to be very scanty as well. I love when the city is not too crowded and there is peace and some quietness around. Nothing beats peace of mind as far as I am concerned.

All photographs are mine taken with my Samsung Galaxy A23
