This year, at Christmas 2025, I have been particularly struck by the large number of articles and content on Christmas celebrations in which many even dare to publish and share without much concealment their own adventures, experiences and personal and family anecdotes. In many cases, documenting the occasion with a large number of photos and audiovisual material. Uhm, I wonder why this is like this this year?
Because that I remember, in previous years this had not happened this way. Well, at least not in such high number, quantity and in the mood to wish to everyone who read their posts a vociferous, resounding and joyful ¡Merry Christmas! with such energy, vigor and solemnity.
Uhm, perhaps it could be because some of them, staying now already close to turning ten years in this "social network" of the blockchain, many of them finally feel at ease, confident and like into a true family as to share publicly and graphically all their intimacies and confidences without any sort of modesty, shame or embarrassment like real families do in real life? Do you think this has something to do with the change and novelty seen this year? Ok, tell me later in the comments!
Because the other thing that has also surprised me a little bit this year. It is having read a good number of posts in which the authors stated that this year they had traveled and spent the night of December 24 in the company of all and the oldest members of their families. And in which in many cases, they revealed that these older members of the family. Grandfathers, grandmothers and great-uncles were already in their late 80s and even in their early 90s and therefore they felt that this year they should make a greater effort to meet because they feared that it could be their last Christmas together. And in my opinion, I think they have done well in making that greater effort.
Because it is true that these days people enjoys of a greater longevity and last longer in good health. But hey, C'mon! that not everyone lasts forever. So, if you have your relatives relatively close to your home, especially the older ones, or you can travel to wherever they are. Please never refrain from making a greater effort to see them. Older or not. Because it certainly could be the last time you see them. Yeah, shit happen you know?
Finally, and before I say goodbye. I just want to remind you that if you actually make that extra effort to gather at the homes of your grandparents and other older family members this Christmas season, that then you don´t gonna do what I'm going to show and graphically describe next. Because then, they will be the ones who will never want to see you again in their long lives. ¡You've been warned!
¡Merry Christmas Granny!
