Can you answer a simple question with total sincerity and absolute honesty?

Would you be able to answer a simple question with total sincerity and absolute honesty? With absolute frankness telling the truth, only the truth and nothing but the truth? And without expecting prizes, rewards or recognition of any kind for telling the truth, only the truth and nothing but the truth in a public, direct and transparent way?

¿Yes? «-» ¿No?

Okay, here's the question...

When was the last time you actually upvoted a post in Hive on purpose and manually, organically and with every conscious intention of upvoting it after having read it because you really liked it and decided to reward it due to its quality and value and not just because you are friends with the author, or for the "curation" rewards that you could obtain by upvoting their posts, or because they would also upvote your posts to return the favor?

And when I say manually, organically and with every conscious intention of upvoting it, I mean it.

Let me explain myself...

  1. That you have not upvoted it automatically just because you follow some voting trail.

  2. That you have not upvoted it because that's what some lodge you belong to on Discord forces you to do it.

  3. That you have not upvoted it because it was part of the agreement of some contest in which you were participating.

  4. And that in fact, you upvoted that post completely consciously and on purpose after having consumed and digested what the author had written and you considered that this author certainly deserved to be upvoted, rewarded and awarded without you receiving anything in return?

In summary...

  1. That you didn't upvote for it automatically.

  2. That you upvoted it without anyone forcing you.

  3. That you didn't upvote for it just for the "curation" rewards nor expecting anything in return.

  4. And that you upvoted it on purpose, consciously, manually and organically only after having read, consumed and digested it in its entirety and after you verified that the quality, originality and value of said post actually pleased your taste and deserved to be upvoted for and rewarded by you.

And remember...

¡The truth, only the truth and nothing but the truth!

Few days (or maybe a week) ago. Otherwise I use auto curation for members, who write good, usefull stuff.

Thank you very much for commenting, responding and participating. Your answer certainly sounds highly sincere and honest.

In other words, that if we delve a little deeper into your comment, we could also conclude that you never or almost never you visit the page of newly created posts to consume and vote for a post. Correct? };)

(Edited)

I was doing that for very long time (visiting pages of newly created posts) and chatting with writer. What I saw was, there are more and more posts, created in advance. So...the creators knew then was the right time to get the most views, and in that time they were not online. Further more.....there were more and more short posts, which were just funny but not useful. So I just stopped writing and reading. But few times per month I still check new posts if I see something that catches my eye. You got to know, I'm in this network almost from start when Steem was a thing...

Seconds ago. I only upvote manually, although I do sometimes simply upvote authors, such as yourself, I intend to support regardless of the specific content they are publishing. I couldn't care less about curation rewards, and strongly recommend their discontinuation ever since I grasped how they replace societal values with pecuniary interest and thus pervert curation to the point of literal malignance.

Thanks!

Socially speaking, could there be more truth contained in what you have commented?

I agree and I believe everything you have said. Let us advocate for the discontinuation and abolition of "curation" rewards. Especially those that are obtained in an automated way and without active social awareness.

Yes, I will speak the truth, I am relatively new, since the Steemit era, however I have not been able to provide usability, I lack many things to explore, I like to try to explore and try to develop my own criteria for things, I am not curator, many times I feel like I don't fit in, but I do like it and a piece of content catches my attention (if it's rock and metal, much better) I try to vote without feeling subjugated by anyone, since I like the content and I try to enjoy it my experience of my browsing, regardless of whether I am a friend, acquaintance, stranger...

As a song says, get up and... fight
