Thank you @ for this invitation and to the sponsors of this contest in which I love to participate.

Here is my story based on the beautiful photo of @borniet

The cormorant and the wind

image.png

The days have been very windy around the green water lagoon, and the leaves of the surrounding trees have fallen into the water, taking away its clarity. You can no longer see the fish swimming beneath its surface.

The carmoran has been thinking and thinking that he wants to fish in that lagoon, that he has no desire to go anywhere else, and he has asked the wind to stop blowing so that the leaves stop falling, but the wind replies that he cannot do that just to please him because, with his help, the clouds loaded with water will arrive in two days and the plants and the other animals need it.

You can't think only of yourself," he finally says, blowing so hard that thousands of leaves fall on the water and on the cormorant's head and wings.

Then the bird talks to the trees and asks them to hold on to their leaves and not let them fall. Surprised at this crazy request, the trees reply, "We can't do that just to please them.

We can't do that just to please you; the leaves are dry and are a weight on our branches, and we need space for the flowers and fruits to develop. Birds and insects can eat them, and other animals can feed on them.

And in response, another large number of leaves fell on the cormorant's wings. The cormorant, annoyed, tries to shake them off, and when it tries to fly, it can't. It stretches its wings as far as possible.

He stretches his wings as much as he can and tries to move them, but they are too heavy, tired and desperate , he loses his balance and goes forward.

He doesn't know what to do and looks at the wind and asks it to please help him.

The wind, knowing that the cormorant has already learned his lesson, blows gently on the wings and the leaves fall one by one leaving him free. Patience and constancy were stronger than strength.

The cormoran thanks the wind and apologizes to the trees, he has understood that the laws of nature must be respected. And already very hungry it flies to the sea where it knows it will find plenty of fish to eat.

That's quite creative @popurri, a great lesson for the cormorant to appreciate how nature works, and for humans too as I was just complaining about the cold and wet weather not so long. I guess I should learn from this that nature is trying to cool down the earth and spare us from heatwave and heat stress.😊

Lovely message!💫

Thank you very much . I like your comment because we have to understand that balance.
I complain too but about the heat and I wish it would rain and I understand that these are cycles that have been changing.
Greetings @humbe 🌼🍃
