The graceful beauty decided to get to know me better.

For the second summer in a row, we've seen fewer insects. Beautiful butterflies and dragonflies used to delight us, but now they're a rarity. So I rejoice at every chance I get to see insects.
I noticed this dragonfly sitting on a willow leaf.

The dragonfly didn't seem to mind my photographing it, unlike the birds. It hung on a leaf and didn't fly away. I was pleased and started taking photos, although it wasn't easy in such a strong wind.
And suddenly, I can't see the dragonfly on the leaf anymore, but I can see it right in front of me. It landed on my hand. It decided to get closer so I could get a better look. But I wasn't particularly thrilled about this overly close encounter, so I had to scare the uninvited guest off my hand.
