I like paying my bills in full, a day or two after I get them… I doubt that anyone has a higher credit score than me…

I never understood not paying in full.
Just need to not buy things one cannot afford.

Approximately 22% to 23% of U.S. consumers have "Exceptional" FICO® scores of 800 or higher, according to 2025 Experian data. If defining "great" as "Very Good" (740–799) or higher, nearly half of all Americans qualify. A perfect 850 score is rare, held by only about 1.76% of consumers, per this Yahoo Finance article.
Key Credit Score Distribution Data (2024–2025):
Exceptional (800-850): 22–23% of consumers.
Very Good (740-799): ~27–28% of consumers.
Total with 740+: Roughly 50% of the population has a "very good" or "exceptional" score.
