If you ever head Up North, there's always a treat to be had at Bettys in York, Harrogate and Ilkley. They offer a smashing afternoon tea, served old school style and everything. It's truly lush.

We have been to at least one Betty's. They have that vintage atmosphere. It can be a more fun treat than just a regular meal out and sometimes just as filling.

Ooo, which one did you visit, @steevc? I introduced Ben to the goodness that is Bettys when we first started dating, and it remains a favourite of ours. Their main meals are good too.

It was probably in York. Not been to the city for a while apart from passing through on the train.
