New Nissan Qashqai Road Trip to Bicester Heritage PT 1
As many of you know, we do love a good road trip here at Planetauto! Packing up and heading off to parts (known) and unknown is one of the best ways to showcase what a car can do, and besides that, it’s fun 😊
So we got ourselves ready and headed down South towards Bicester. One of the benefits of having the hybrid powertrain was that we had the best of both – it made joining the motorway a breeze.
We had the Tekna+ 190 e-POWER, fitted with a 1.5L, 3 cylinder petrol/electric engine, and with options costs £42, 980.00. We found that the economy gradually went up during our journey down (see what I did there?) and stayed there. Impressive, no? With it’s updated looks, the new Qashqai is striking – especially in the colour we had (Fuji Sunset Red) and the contrasting black roof made it really stand out. Love it.
And on the inside? Well, it’s a haven – a clever blend of luxury and tech, making the extra time we had to spend in it (due to road closures) safe and comfortable. Mood lighting, a large, user friendly infotainment system (with actual dials and buttons!) and seats that look after your back.
All in all, this road trip was a reminder of why the Qashqai is a firm favourite. Among the popular crossover SUV’s, it stands out due to its blend of style, versatility, tech and safety. And that two-tone paint? Flippin lovely.
