New MG IM6

Well it's no surprise that MG have been busy again this year. In 2024, they launched 6 new models, and this year sees them launching the luxury IM range in the UK too - and to make sure everyone here knows that they are the luxury arm of SAIC owned MG, all models will be called MG IM - so, like it's sibling the MG IM5 we showed you a few days ago, this is the MG IM6.

Ben and I travelled down to the Festival of Speed to see them in the metal, and one of the main things MG want to showcase with these two new EV's is range - and more specifically, long range - so the first to MG IM's to launch here have a starting range of around 300 miles and then goes up depending which driving environment you happen to be in.

As this fully electric SUV is in the luxury bracket, the price will reflect it, so the MG IM6 100 Long Range starts at £47,995.00 and the MG IM6 100 Performance starts at £50,995.00.

Both offer 800V architecture meaning that they can rapid charge up to 350kW's which can get you from 10% to 80% in just 17 minutes.
