Traveling from Nakhon Si Thammarat to Surat Thani in Southern Thailand š
Hi. My friends
Surat Thaniis my hometown, where my mother, my older sisterās family, and my younger brotherās family live. Normally, during school breaks, my family travels to visit them. This time, three of us went-me, my daughter, and my son, while my husband stayed behind to work and take care of our pets (two dogs and two cats).
For this post, Iāll take you all along on our journey!
We left home yesterday at around 1:30 PM. The weather was nice. I drove at a speed of 80ā100 km/hr. since we werenāt in a hurry. The first stop we made was at a 7-Eleven and restroom located inside a gas station. I took the kids to buy some snacks so they could eat in the car during the trip. This gas station branch was very spacious, with multiple fuel pumps, an Amazon Coffee shop, a restaurant, and several food stalls. On weekends, itās probably much more crowded.
There were large, colorful cartoon statues displayed in several spots, which were eye-catching and would surely excite children. Iāve seen many other gas stations with similar statues. After using the restroom, we continued our journey. It's quite a peaceful drive with not many cars on the road. I like driving on roads like this. There are some sections of the road under repair, so I have to drive carefully
Our second stop was at another gas station. Here, all the fuel pumps were occupied, so I pulled into the second lane, waiting as the second car in line. I filled up with Gasohol 95, priced at 32.85 baht per liter. I refueled for 700 baht and received a free bottle of waterāthough Iām not sure what the minimum spending is to get this freebie.
Shall we get going?
My son took some photos while I was driving. The sky was incredibly clear, and the road remained open. Iāve driven on this route before during Songkran festival last year, and it was packed with cars since itās an interprovincial highway.
Our third and final stop was at another gas station to use the restroom and buy drinks. This one was nestled near the mountains, offering a stunning view. The restrooms were extremely clean. After using the facilities, I walked to a drink shop called BISTRO and ordered a Thai iced tea for 65 baht. The shop was beautifully decorated. While waiting for my drink, I sat and enjoyed the scenery. There was only one customer sitting and drinking coffee at the time.
After picking up my drink at the counter, I headed back to the car and drove for another hour or so before reaching our destination.
Wow! These gas stations look very nice with amazing restrooms! So many dolls and lovely decorations too. They want you to stay there as long as possible.
This car trip is nice and comfortable. How many hours was the journey?!
Enjoy your vacation sis with your family and make the most of it! Safe travels!
Nice weather, perfect for taking land trips. The colorful cartoons are very eye-catching, passersby will be entertained while looking at them. It was a good time with your children while on the road, stopping by at some places and buying something. It was a relaxed and unhurried ride for everyone.
The blue sky is so beautiful. The place looks warm yet calm and not too crowded, just like other cities. The minions and the food are amazing. Enjoy your trip and God bless you and your family.
