Victorious Vibes And Precious Memories!

A resounding victory? Ah! I never expected that we would end up victorious at my workplace with the recently concluded Intramurals Meet not to mention that being the Grade 9 Curriculum Coordinator was a big challenge to me whenever there were any activities and events in school but we made it!

Intramural is one of the most memorable moments in school life as there are many stories to tell about competitions, athletic feats, team spirits, and many precious moments in school sports, wherein teachers and students collaborate to bring glory and honor.

Last time, we had the Intramural Meet wherein the students in Junior High School and Senior High School were competing in all sports events including the most highlighted part which was the yell competition.

On the day of the event, students and teachers were united at the covered court for the opening program, and here are some quick snaps of when the program started. The students from Grade 7 to Grade 12 were at their lines while the Regional players had the Urn of Friendship Lighting followed by the Oath of Amateurism.

Before the message and declaration of the formal Opening of the Yell competition, there was a Yell Competition for each curriculum. The Grade 9 are the “Eagles” and we had the mantra to soar high.

Every curriculum has prepared much for the competition. There were Grade 7 Hawks, Grade 8 Jaguars, Grade 9 Eagles, Grade 10 Stallions, Grade 11 Lions, and Grade 12 Wolves. Each curriculum had a fighting spirit with great hopes of winning.

During the presentation of the Grade 9 yell competition, all of the advisers had the grand entrance, and I was the queen of the Eagles. I captured a selfie of the giant eagle and during the competition, I was seated on the throne while the giant eagle was moving forward. It surprised everyone and they were all amazed by our presentation together with our students.

After the yell competition, the Intramural 2023 opened and it was all Championship games since there were already match games on the previous days. Several sports were played and here are some quick snapshots after the event was formally opened.

The day ended with happy faces as the athletes won the game but there was no idea about the winners since the results were to be tabulated yet. As per instruction by our Secondary School Principal, the awarding will be done during the First Quarter Convocation Program. And here are the precious moments with my honor students from Grade 9 Isaac Newton.

Until today came, and earlier we had awarded the honor students. After the awarding of the honors was the announcement of the winners during the Intramural Meet 2023.

The announcement was made by the MAPEH Department Chairman. I never expected the results. But honestly, the results surprised me for being the Champion of the Yell Competition.

I received the Certificate on Stage since I am the Grade 9 Curriculum Coordinator. My colleagues were also happy as all their hard work paid off. We had the last minute practice with our students but it ended up that we won the competition.

After the announcement of the Yell Competition Champion, we were proclaimed as the First Runner Up For Overall Intramural Meet 2023. Still, it was so surprising as we had beat the Senior High School.

The triumph of the Grade 9 Curriculum was so unexpected as we only had a little time for practice for the yell competition. It was a resounding victory for being the Champion in the Yell Competition and securing the 1st Runner-Up place overall in Intramural 2023 from Grade 7 to Grade 12 Curriculums.

Perhaps it was all because of collaboration and teamwork with our Curriculum that made us win the game. I had a great day and it was truly a victorious vibe and a memorable moment in a day of my life as the Grade 9 Curriculum Coordinator.
