Finding Treasures At BuDa Bazaar!
Unique treasures with extraordinary designs? The bazaar in BuDa had it all! I was so attracted to see its colorful crafts and souvenirs not to mention that I bought a lot of refrigerator magnets, keychains, and bracelets to give to my friends and loved ones when I got home to Bukidnon, Philippines.
I mentioned in my previous post that after taking selfies at the gigantic Philippine Eagle Statue in Barangay Baganihan, Davao City, I visited a marketplace and it was the nearby Bazaar.
What I love about the place is the vibrant culture of the indigenous people of the boundary of Bukidnon and Davao. The bazaar was just located by the highway with many stalls selling crafts and other souvenirs such as refrigerator magnets, hats, bracelets, t-shirts, bags, and many more.
And yes, it was just near the gigantic Philippine Eagle statue. At this angle, the statue could be seen from a distance. The very huge Eagle was standing stall along the marketplace.
These stalls had a lot of treasures to offer. The presence of the colorful bracelets, the beautiful hats, the handy rosaries, and the amazing refrigerator magnets caught my attention. At first, I had a simple walk while looking at a variety of crafts. How I wish I could have them all but I just chose my favorite ones.
After taking snapshots of the huge statue, I passed by a stall beside the huge statue, I passed by a mini stall with a vendor selling very unique souvenirs. Honestly, this encounter attracted me to visit other stalls. And here are the crafts displayed at the table.
I have never seen such unique designs of refrigerator magnets like these but only here in Davao. I was delighted to see many Durian refrigerator magnets. Durian is a famous fruit when talking about Davao. I was amazed at how the craftsmen mimicked a real Durian fruit into a refrigerator magnet with different designs and colors.
And I was also amazed to see refrigerator magnets shaped like a soft brooms, skateboards, and more. I bought all of the designs on the first stall and after I explored another stall to see other designs.
Meanwhile, I visited another stall that sold more items and designs. And I noticed that they were selling beautiful beach hats. They were so enticing but I have many hats so I did not buy one.
And I found a couple selling another amazing treasure. I asked for the price and what was good here was having the cheapest prices of souvenirs so I was truly interested in buying more.
But before buying, I had the opportunity to take a selfie with the souvenirs as my background. The crafts were all colorful and I so love how they were made.
At this stall, I bought some bracelets that I planned to give to our neighbor. It was like a miracle bracelet that could heal pain when worn because I greatly believe my neighbor is honoring this kind of stuff. I bought five pieces of bracelets. There were also other amazing designs of refrigerator magnets and as well as keychains too. And then I continued exploring.
And here are other items I found at another stall. I so love how the Durians were crafted here and there were the presence of baskets too.
I have seen how colorful and interesting the stuff displayed on various stalls. And what made them interesting was being sold at a cheap price. I am not sure how many I bought but one thing is for sure, every time I go to a new stall, I do not leave there without buying an item.
Aside from the refrigerator magnets, colorful wallets, cross pendants, necklaces, keychains, and dream catchers were available. I was very interested in buying the key chains since they were not so bulky to bring back home as well as buying some stuff with a Durian design.
And finally, I stumbled upon this stall with many colorful items of various forms. Just like the other stalls, all the items sold here were so extraordinary. And I was able to buy a refrigerator magnet with a durian design placed in a basket and strawberry-designed refrigerator magnets.
Aside from this stuff, I have also bought Davao’s finest delicacies such as the Durian and Mango candies. I have also bought their sweet pomelo, banana, and the famous Durian fruit. It was a great time buying and strolling at the bazaar to have the cheapest prices of souvenirs.
What a great day visiting the Buda Bazaar! I had a joyful heart while strolling around the area because of the enticing crafts that are truly so cheap compared to items sold at some souvenir shops. We left the place bringing many stuff and our friends and loved ones were truly happy receiving these treasures as we went home.
