Confess, it feels so good!

Emotional freedom? Ah! It was a great moment to transform secrets into liberation while opening up about innermost thoughts and suppressed feelings not to mention that when I traveled to Agusan Canyon, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines earlier, I found a Confession wall at a Cafe.

When I decided to go to Agusan Canyon to check if there were already bazaars at the plaza, I found out earlier that they were not yet built on the plaza. Suddenly, I felt hungry and wanted to go to a snack bar or cafe nearby. There were two options I had the first one was to go to the cooperative area at Camp Phillips and the second one was to go to the cafe at Agusan Canyon. Until I decided to walk at a distance from where I stopped going to Alegre, a cafe at Agusan Canyon.

One surprising thing about this cafe was the presence of a Confession wall. I remember when I was in high school and college, confessions seemed a trend in the school’s publications during my high school days. And then when I entered college, it was so liberating to the walls of social media.

When I entered the cafe, I was very surprised that the crew was one of my students seven years ago. After seeing him, I was so excited to ask questions about how was his life now as well as send best regards to his classmates who were my good students back then. I love their batch and I could not forget how they behaved well in school while being achievers too although they just belonged to a regular section we were always winning back then when there were competitions in school. And yes, we shared stories while he was busy preparing the orders.

I have passed by this cafe many times but I have not experienced dining in. So it was a great moment to be here for the first time and order an economical yet delicious combo meal. The cafe may not be so spacious but it offers the best meals, snacks, and beverages. So I ordered the 59’ers rice meal consisting of egg and hot dog, as well as the cookies and cream milkshake.

While my student was busy preparing my orders, I captured several corners and kinds of stuff at the cafe, and here is what I had captured. I love all the quotes and captions decorated at every corner making the cafe more relaxing with a cool ambiance.

After a while, my cookies and cream shake were placed at my table and it was truly so enticing. I captured it in a corner with the books as the background. It was not only presentable but it was so delicious as well.

While waiting for my others I started to pick up a sticky note and decided to write my thoughts on the moment. It was a happy emotion. And after writing, I post it on the confession wall.

I have read both happy and sad emotions on the wall and I am sure that most of those who confessed were students. Many who have shared their feelings and emotions were anonymous yet I enjoyed reading the texts on many colorful sticky notes at the Confession wall.

And then, my orders arrived in a combo of egg, rice, and cocktail hotdogs. It was a perfect meal and I was satisfied with what I had ordered. And here are some quick shots of my combo meals.

I stayed in the cafe for a while and enjoyed the moment. I love everything that the cafe offers. And my favorite part was the confession wall. I never thought it was still a trend until I visited this wonderful cafe in the municipality of Manolo Fortich. And yes, it feels so good to confess!

I believe that through the simple sticky notes, anyone dining in the cafe would find relief or lift the weight of some untold stories in their lives. Sometimes the key to happiness is openness and acceptance that makes life fulfilling and even authentic.

And I was truly delighted that I made one and posted it on the confession corner. Perhaps it is great to know that there are still cafes at my place that place a high value on emotional freedom.
