Vibes Web 3 Music Competition: My Review on Week 35's Theme and Performances

Hello Wonderful people of Vibes Community! Week 35 has officially come to an end, and we’re all anticipating the 10 entries that will make it to the winners’ list. While we wait, I decided to share a few thoughts on this week’s theme, highlight some impressive entries, and express how the competition felt from my perspective.

To my readers who aren't in this community, the theme for this week's competition was Techno and EDM. It was a call to energetic vibes, dance, and electrifying performance.
It was a theme that, after watching many entries, I realized just how demanding it is. Obviously, most of us weren’t very familiar with it, so it pushed many artists, especially the ladies, out of their comfort zones. But surprisingly, 80% of the performances were very entertaining and creative.

That was when I also realized I’ve been missing out on a lot happening in this community, the benefits the judges have been enjoying all along: the fun, the laughter, the awe, the excitement… and many other feelings that come with watching performances from artists all over the world. Believe me, the feeling is different and it’s good for my health:)
I sincerely thank the organizers for allowing writers to share in this experience. It’s a privilege.

Like I said earlier, everyone did incredibly well. I can’t highlight all my favorites, it would make this post longer than it should be but there are a few performances I just can’t shake off. They’re still playing in my head, and I have to show them some love.

@yaremiverde’s cover of Titanium by Sia

I watched two other entries performing this song, but this one stood out to me. I haven't heard this song before, so I will say she added a lot of beauty and makes me want to hear it from Rihanna herself. @yaremiverde1 's spirit is alluring and captivating; the way she used her body language was wonderful. Most importantly, she has an awesome vocals and I was locked in from the beginning to the end, and I don't regret it one bit.

Meya's Performance of "Rockabye"

I already knew @meyateingi was a strong vocalist who always does justice to any song she chooses, but I didn’t know she could rap! Mehn! Rockabye isn’t an easy song to cover, but she handled it beautifully and with confidence. I was totally vibing to her energy the whole time, her delivery was dynamic and engaging.

What impressed me most was how effortlessly she captured the theme. And I believe that's what makes an artist outstanding, the inner ability to adapt and still shine while meeting the audience's expectations.
My Final Thoughts
This week was fun, unique, and inspiring. I saw genuine effort in every entry submitted. It was clear that many artists pushed themselves to try something different, and that made the competition even more exciting to watch >> <<.
Like our very own @lordbutterfly often says, "with Vibes, everyone is a winner". From my perspective, this means every artist who participated walked away with something valuable, whether it's growth, exposure, confidence, or just pure joy from creating and sharing. Winning isn’t always about the price, sometimes it’s about finding your own voice in the crowd and being super proud of it.

So if you’re reading this and you can sing, play an instrument, or express yourself through any form of performance art, Vibes is waiting for you with open arms. The competition runs every two weeks, so jump in and show the world what you’ve got:)
You might not be perfect, none of us are, but what matters is that you’ll improve with every trial, just like the amazing artists I’ve come to admire here.
