AI and Shutterstock - Photographic Society Journal #11
Hey there, people, passioned about Photography!
Shutterstock is one of the biggest and one of the most popular stock agencies for licensing photographs.
As such, it is quite interesting to follow their stance towards AI generated stuff.
Presently they do NOT accept it, meaning they do NOT allow AI generated stuff to be submitted.
Still, they have their own implementation of AI, based on DALL-E that generates stuff from using works unloaded by Shutterstock contributors.
Such contributors get paid by the new "Contributors Fund" but they have no way of knowing which of their assets had been utilized for generating the resulting AI content.
This is still a baby service, with only a few months of existence so it would be valuable and interesting to follow this development.

Such posts are welcome here too but the focus of this virtual group is to discuss our thoughts about Photography itself.
