Is it Worth It?

Are my efforts enough? does hard work really pay in the end? Do the patient dog really get the fattest bone. Those are some of the thoughts that run through my mind when ever the it seems like the obstacle and burdens of life are getting overwhelming. I am human, made up of flesh and blood so that means I am not immune to things like frustration and depression, you know when you go into a particular venture and give it your all, your 100% and factors not within your power or control nullifies all your efforts and hard work.

Going through this trials, I sometimes wonder is the right path really the one for me. You know you could just easily take that shortcut and be done with the stress. You know one of the ironies of life, vices are really easy to come in contact with, you know those money making practice which the last part of society frowns upon, if you really think about it let us say you want to learn something like forex, trading and the likes, you will in all likelihood be charged an amount which you probably can't afford, but if you want to you know come in contact with the bad gangs, do things like armed robbery and other fraudulent activities all you have to do is just have your wits and know who to ask, and if they see you are up to the task, you are initiated into the game in which you just have to work your way into your riches.

Is it worth it to derail, to take that shortcut, does karma really work, it might catch up to you, it might not. One thing I always weigh before I take an action is how it will affect my peace of mind. Will I be able to justify myself, can I explain with confidence where, when and how this resources came to be. You know that saying "if you are going to dine with the devil, do it with a long spoon". Why would you dine with the devil in the first place. It is as if you are looking for money to spend and lavish and you go and borrow from a loan shark, he gives you a time period, a very crazy insane interest rate on the money he lent to you, but you do not put all these things to mind, you just want to collect the money and go and lavish and leave an expensive life. When the time period is over and he comes to collect his money, you start fidgeting because you do not have the money to give back, you do not recall the times you were spending, the times you were in the club drinking and partying on the beach, now that retribution is here you are regretting and asking yourself why you collected money in the first place.

So before you take an action, ask yourself is it worth it.
