How Can We Contribute? .:. Walk & Talk Series, Graz Edition!
You know me... BEFORE going to events like the #HiveCreatorDays, I have many ideas and plans about it, and when I get there, everything falls apart... π Not in a bad way, but I missed doing things that I planned, but usually, because I got "distracted" by great company of my fellow Hivians! It was like that this time... again... π I had an idea of creating at least 2-3 Walk & Talk videos that I would publish during my stay, (teasing others who didn't come π), but I failed to do it... On the last day, I did record the video and had an idea to publish it at the airport, but that didn't happen as Klagenfurt airport is so small that there was barely place to fit into the room!
So here we are, a bit more than 24 hours after recording this video, in a completely different country, but still full of impressions and emotions of the #HCDGraz! This year's @Buzzparty event didn't disappoint, and it was even better than the last one! More cool people attended, the schedule was a bit more "relaxed", and I didn't have any presentation, so I didn't stress at all... That was a perfect state to help other "presenters" be more relaxed, and in the end, they did a great job!

Many people ask what the difference is between this event and, for example, HiveFest? Except for the fact that it had a limited number of participants, #BuzzParty usually gathers the "middle class" of HIVE... Many presentations were led by community (project) members and not "head/lead developers"... It was like community presenting tools for the community! And to be honest, these guys did a great job! Not just by presenting stuff that they use and work on, but also in INSPIRING others to join, to help out... That's why I put the title: "How Can We Contribute?", as that was the question that was asked many times during the event!
A lot of networking, sharing ideas, promoting HIVE by leaving stickers around the city, cleaning up the part which brought a lot of curious looks toward us... Many positive comments, some "Thanks for cleaning" from the visitors passing by... All in all, we spread a lot of good vibes all around Graz!
Stay tuned for more posts about #HCDGraz and the big recap post of the event that I will (eventually) publish... π

We want some pics π
There are pics and they will come in the next days... Btw. There are many pics from other participants, as many have already published their stories and impressions of #HCDGraz!
Meh when you go at events, just enjoy, don't bother with strict publish schedule π
The best way to contribute right now is promoting hive and make it known around
Even if I would like to keep my schedule, it would be impossible... The days were too short for everything... π
Agree with that... But, it's important to have occasional gatherings and to help each other to stay strong and keep building... Onboarding 5 new users is nice, but if we lose in a process 5 old Hivians, we lose a lot!
Cheers!
Yeeaah, it was such an amazing Buzzparty and it was nice to see you again. I think you have written the first Post about #HCDGraz without the Word βSchnitzelβ.
!LOL
Thanks! It was great to finally have a bit more chatting... π
Speaking of "Schnitzel", I wanted to mention it, but I will keep it for some of the next posts... π€£

Sorry to hear that you couldn't open the video... I will create more posts about the event soon and share some of my pics, for sure...
Stay tuned..
looking forward to it thank you π
I have seen posts from some other Hivians about the event as well. Expect HIVE Fest, I believe that such events will increase the socialising of HIVE worldwide. I hope one will be also organized in TΓΌrkiye some day )
I would like to visit TΓΌrkiye!!! Just trying to find an "excuse" and convince my wife to take the trip... π€£
The same problem with wife everywhere :)
Hahahaaha... Nice to hear that I'm not alone... π€£
Thanks for taking time to record this video. I would have loved to have been there. Could be a good idea to have a Spanish edition. π
I heard some rumours... π€
You know more than I do... π
I think that it's cool if any number of Hivers come together. Smaller events will be cheaper to organise and people may be able to get to something near them. I have organised some small meetups that cost nothing and a few people came along. I may do another some time.
!BEER
I suppose it's like those old "MTV unplugged" sessions that we had in the past... Smaller audience, more "private" atmosphere, but the content, interaction, and value are much bigger! I like smaller meetups; they get more personal and more effective!

.I had a great time!
It's true that we should meet more, someone suggested to me monthly, one day, locally, maybe we should have an "onboarding team" jumping around Europe to lecture locals ...
I like these meetups, but monthly would be a lot even for me... π€£ Quarterly, I'm in... π
Because it would be just one day... I organise somewhere here, you organise somewhere there, and the mobile Onboarding team jumps from me to you and elsewhere... if you know what I mean... or not even mobile, but via VTC... then we would become like Amway... π
hehehe... Not a bad idea...
I was part of the Amway 20-25 years ago... π Learned a few tricks... π€£
It sounds like you had a great time on that trip, and it's nice to hear that you were able to relax because you didn't have any presentations or responsibilities. I think the meetups are good, but I still prefer to be more or less anonymous. Maybe that will change in the future.
We had a great time in Graz! Nice walks and talks, tasty food, and a lot of Hive brainstorming... π
