Swapping Autumn for Spring .:. Wednesday Walk in Forest

avatar

I have no idea where all that time is gone, but I suck at publishing posts in my favorite #WednesdayWalk community! I like to do my daily walks and I have tons of photos from my walks throughout the year, but I can't find time to publish them and share them with you guys... And I know that you like to go for a walk with me!

My last post with some nature photos was published 11 days ago, and before that, it was over a month ago!!! The initial idea was to do these "relaxing posts" at least 1-2 times per WEEK and not per month! Darn... When it was summer, my main excuse was that I was not taking a lot of photos because everything was burned out from the sun... Now in Autumn/Winter, my excuse is that the days are shorter and I can't find time for long walks... How easy is it to find an excuse...

01.jpg

Oh, I have another one! The newest excuse is that I'm doing the #HHHLive show on Wednesdays and that takes this spot from the #WednesdayWalk post... which isn't 100% true... 😃 I am doing the show on Wednesdays, but I do announcement post the day before, and the recap post the day after... This leaves Wednesday free for my "walking posts"! Of course, I do have to prepare the show, take notes and prepare how it will look like and that is a whole day's work... But, I could prepare the walk post a day before! Like I did this time!

02.jpg

Enough rambling and enough excuses... Back to this walk that took place in April this year! (told you that I have tons of material to publish) I picked this gallery deliberately as I wanted to compare how this forest looked in Spring when I did the photos...

03.jpg

As you can see, most of the trees in the forest are pine trees, which means that they don't change too much during the year, but still, there are some differences...

04.jpg

05.jpg

Also, while I was on this specific walk, the plan was to take more of these "closeup photos" of things that you can find in the woods... like cutting branches of trees...

06.jpg

as usual, I can't resist taking photos of sun rays penetrating through the woods...

07.jpg

08.jpg

09.jpg

That far away in the distance is Benidorm, one of the most popular tourist cities in Spain among Brits! They love it! Besides Ibiza and Majorca, which are "reserved" for tourists with deep pockets, Benidorm is probably the most popular as it has something for everyone...

10.jpg

11.jpg

12.jpg

This is probably the ideal place for some mushrooms, but not here, and not in the late Spring (yes, April is late spring here... 😃), as after March until November-December, we have almost no rain at all... What you see in the photo above is dry wood as black powder!

13.jpg

14.jpg

15.jpg

I saw that some other Hivians like to take photos like this, with this "live frame" around the main focus... It's like "lurking" nature... 😃

16.jpg

17.jpg

A bit more pinecones and one sick tree... 😞 I hope it will heal up...

18.jpg

19.jpg

20.jpg

The gathering of two generations... Old pinecones along with the new ones that just beginning their life! These new pinecones are the main difference between Spring and Autumn in this pine tree forest... They usually start to grow in the Spring...

21.jpg

22.jpg

Which way to go? The path on the left leads to civilization, and the path on the right gives more fun in nature as it goes deep in the forest...

23.jpg

24.jpg

Let us do some grounding, sit (or lay) down on the ground, and check out what is happening on the lower levels...

25.jpg

Kindergarten of pine cones... 😃

26.jpg

Check out the next hiking routes for some of the next walks in the future!

I have to admit that it's great to publish photos that we took before as we can re-live those moments again and if they are pleasant like they were in this walk, it brings some special peacefulness in us... At least, that happened to me during writing and preparing this post!

Thank you for your time,

~ph~

I also love to share my walk in Wednesdaywalk community but sometimes i missed the chance too. Nature is always pretty, yes there's mostly trees of pine trees. I still remember first time our teacher showed the pine trees to us about a decade ago 😁 and he told us that it's male cone and it's female and we're amaized to see that plant also have male and female concept, actually it was included in our biology practical 😂

Have a happy Wednesday 😊

I'm glad to hear that you like the post! I didn't investigate the thing with male and female cones, to be honest... :) But, in general, plants are even more amazing than animals!

You are very right, dear friend @ph1102, and it is very easy to find an excuse not to do certain things.
What a beautiful forest to walk and enjoy the proximity of nature.
I also think the same about the photographs, they are like going back in time and remembering the happy moments experienced when taking the photographs.
Beautiful natural shots, thank you very much for showing us this hiking experience

White pines and some mastic trees. There should be more holm oaks, wild olive trees, stone pines and palmettos. I suppose it is the result of poor repopulation from airplanes.

We do have olive trees and palmettos, but not in that forest... Not sure that this forest was populated by humans, as it looks natural... But, I don't know that for sure...

It was a very peaceful walk and I think that we met only 1 cyclist and nobody else in the whole forest!

It is always a great thing when we take time to admire the beauty of nature and get to enjoy the view that spread across it

That's nice to see that you go out on walks. We need that time off away from the keyboard.

Have a good one!

Going outside for a walk is a must! But, sometimes, I do fail to do it as I mentioned in the post!
Thanks for the comment! Wish you a great day!

I think we all do. We can easily find ourselves consumed by work, responsibilities and the never-ending list of tasks to accomplish! So it's nice to make a conscious effort to step away from our keyboard and embrace the beauty of nature. 😊

Nice walk. I don't really go out to nature that much but it does look like something I should do. I have been sticking to the city for the most part lately.

You should do it, for sure... Spending too much time in the city, we lose connection with nature...

Nature is always perfect, man, but in summer it's really harder to take pictures because everything is sunburnt. Like you mentioned, I can't stand taking photos where the sun is shining through the trees, such photos look mesmerizing.

Definitely, the best time for taking nature photos is Spring, when everything is green and fresh!

By going inside the forest, a person gets to see many special and many important and beautiful things that give a person a lot of experience, especially when a person sees such insects that he has never seen in his life. And seeing the mountains and seeing many trees and natural sights gives one a lot of happiness.
