Preparing For a Trip! .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 220
Yesterday, I had an idea to write a post about the preparations for the trip tomorrow, but so many things have changed in just a few hours... Have no idea where to start... Firstly, the event where I plan to go (and I hope that I will eventually get there) is Hive Creator Days, in Graz, Austria, organized by @BuzzParty...

I'm not that of a plane traveler, maybe 1-2 times per year, and my last trip was last September, when I went to #HiveFest in Split, Croatia... I was travelling light (only a backpack), and I had to change 2 planes to get there, and 2 to come back, with 2 different companies, Ryanair and Vueling... I knew about their strict baggage rules and I had a backpack that was slightly bigger than allowed, but I went through all 4 planes without issues... But...
I took my backpack out of the closet, and began planning what to bring to my trip to Graz, when I took a look and paid a bit more attention to the baggage rules... To my surprise, they have changed the dimensions of the "small bag," making it even SMALLER!!! I had no idea about that as they did that change last year in October, right when I came back from my last trip... Btw, they are changing the rule for a small bag every now and then, keeping the travellers on their toes... Of course, the "free" bag is shrinking every time...
Long story short, my backpack is over 5cm wider, and I had to change it for a smaller one...
Another unpleasant surprise happened today when the whole of Spain and Portugal were left without electricity!!! It's something that NEVER happened on this scale, and I think there is no proper explanation (YET) why and how that happened... At the moment of writing this post, I'm using my mobile internet connection (as my fiber network at home doesn't work) and everything works very wonky...
At least I have checked my plane tickets and I hope that plane will land off!

What about the bonus tokens?
It was very nice to see the SPS token price ramping up during the last 2-3 weeks... The price did drop a bit in the last week, but maybe we have found the new bottom... Of course, that's just my speculation, and time will tell the truth... In any case, Splinterlands players were thrilled to see that the main game token isn't dead and it can go UP too!!! I'm not play as actively as I did in the past, but I do have assets in the game, including staked SPS tokens, but also some amount in the liquidity pools!
There will be distributed 170 SPS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... 91 BEE tokens and 170 SPS tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 4.479%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 5.387%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Yeah, read about the power outage in the news here… quite unbelievable, especially in this time and age. Quite curious to see what the reason will have been… they have been warning people over here in Belgium as well to make sure to have an “emergency kit” ready for when this happens…

Well, I went on a trip this morning and moved my focus to other stuff. I didn't follow updates, so I have no idea what the reason was for the blackout. I suppose it will take a few days to get the truth. If we get it... 😃

If I'm not wrong for the blackout it was some climate issue... Ryanair is always lame with bag measurements
It's too early for final conclusions about the reasons for the blackout... I suppose we will hear soon the "official" statements...
2 planes in a day would be a headache for me :) Last time I also travelled with a backpack with 3 kg allowed, however no one checked it 😄

Well, we passed the first "test" flight... We only have another one to pass when we will go back home... :)
For such trips, when we both go, I take one ticket without luggage, and the other with, and then we pack together in one suitcase, depending on the number of days, a trolley suitcase or a checked suitcase of 20 kg or 32 kg.

That was out plan for this trip, but we didn't have that much luggage to fill up the additional bag... lol... So, in the end, we went for backpacks
We heard that there was no news about it in Serbia at all... I suppose there is other stuff that the news from there is more worried about... 😃

I read it in some online newspaper this morning, although I was woken up early this morning by a colleague who traveled to Madrid, with a question about the interruption of the internet on the phone. I knew it wasn't up to that (she didn't turn on data roaming), but I knew she would have problems with the crowds at the airport.
And in Serbia, different news, like in 1996/97. Police with batons and pepper spray on students in Novi Sad. Scumbags🤬

It was tense yesterday with the blackout... Many cities didn't get electricity until late night hours... Luckily, we managed to do our stuff and we are already in Austria!

I think there is no official statement yet... As I have traveled out from Spain this morning, I don't know more details...

When the intention of the drip is made, it must be fulfilled because for the past few years we have been making friends but we have not been able to act yet. The good thing is that you are going now, so we will share the experience there with everyone, we will be happy.
