How Do You Do It? .:. September 1st HivePUD
There are at least three types of people, or better said, three types of reasons why people ask this question from the title... "How do you do it?"... The first reason is probably, just curiosity, pure boredom, or to have a small talk topic to talk about...
The second reason is that people would like to know "your secret"... And if it is possible, to copy the steps and try to reach success... Many times, there is no secret but rather hard work behind it, but it looks better if it is "presented" as a secret... :)
And the third reason is very common... It's the reason that gives you the reason to invent excuses... "It was easy for him as he had a lot of money in the first place"... or... "He did as everyone helped him and nobody wants to help me"... or... "He was lucky to have that and that"...

I belong in the second category... I would like to know how it is done and try to do it myself... It is more like a challenge that motivates me to push and try to reach the goal...
On the other side, I do understand that things/steps that work for someone else don't mean that they will work for me, as we are all different... But having an example, or even better, having more examples can help in creating your OWN strategy, creating your own path to the goal! It's like a puzzle, you take different approaches and create your UNIQUE solution...
How do I do my 1K Hive power-ups every #HivePUD?
Lately, I haven't purchased any HIVE tokens with my fiat money, and all that I power up are my earnings from the HIVE ecosystem specifically... Also, I'm lucky that I don't have to power down or withdraw funds at the moment as that would be painful with this low HIVE price...
During the past years, I have accumulated different tokens on Hive-Engine, taken some profits in stablecoins, and in the end, used those funds to add liquidity to a couple of Diesel Pools... The rewards that I get from doing that are exchanged into SWAP.HIVE, and later on, into the HIVE...
I'm actively playing a couple of games here on HIVE, and I'm taking some profits from each of them... It's not some crazy amount as I reinvest most of the earnings, but it adds up over time and helps in collecting those 1K needed for #HivePUD
I run the Hive-Engine node and I exchange part of the earnings into HIVE
Over time, I have accumulated a significant amount of some tribe tokens... As they are staked, I do earn curation rewards from that and I do exchange part of those earnings into HIVE.
I have bought a couple of H-E miners that are bringing stable earnings day by day...
I have delegated HivePower from my gaming account (and some from my main account), and for doing that, I receive dividends that I exchange into HIVE...
The rest of the funds come from my author rewards from the posts... When the HIVE price is low (in my opinion), I buy tokens with my HBD...
...and that's it! That's my "secret"... Feel free to implement some of these "tricks" to generate more HIVE and progress faster in accumulating more HivePower! But, don't forget to STAY FOCUSED on your main goal!

Another 1K power-up under my belt and I'm happy that I'm able to do it for this long! It is the 9th 1K power-up this year and the 23rd 1K power-up in a row! If I succeed in doing it next month, it will be 2 full years of continuously doing this...
The other "tradition" that I would like to nurture is participating in #HivePUM as long as possible... As it is much harder to do it than #HivePUD, I have failed to get the badge a couple of times... So, my HivePUM streak began this year, and this one is my 8th HivePUM badge in a row!

To show you how challenging is to do it, I'm showing you the graph of participants in the latest #HivePUM... As you can see, this illustrates the days in August and how many participants were eligible... Almost every day, we would lose a couple of people down on the road, and unfortunately, we lost one on the very last day...
I know how it feels to fail when you are almost at the end of the road... Look at my HivePUM participation in December 2022!
I failed to power up only once, and it was only 2 days before the end of the month! 🤦
To get this badge, you should power up at least 1 HIVE every day of the month OR create a post every day with rewards set to 100% HP...
So, what is #HivePUD?
Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is shortened for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It is organized by great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork and is held every 1st day of a month.

I missed January and March this year due to no internet and moving hahaha all other months I managed.
It can be hard… and you only need to miss one day… due to business or…? … at the moment I have created a routine and power up with my morning coffee ☕️ each day 😋🍀🤞🏻

Huh... That question is very personal and it really depends on you... I did buy HIVE in the past, especially when it was cheap cheap... I remember buying a nice chunk when it was around 12-15 cents!
If you do buy crypto, try to stick to that good old rule... Do not invest more than you can afford to lose!

It's not that I'm hiding my investments as everyone can see it, it's just that I don't want to "influence" and "make" people buy... Everyone should decide their own investments and not listen to "gurus" 😃
I have my "limits" when I will buy HIVE (for example), and when I would consider selling some... At the moment, I'm waiting price under @0.25 to buy some more (exchange some of my HBD to HIVE), and maybe sell some when we go over $0.5 (will probably wait for that price for some time... lol...)

I earn more than 1000 HIVE per month in the Hive ecosystem. Basically, this is trading on Hive-Engine. I recently bought RIFT for 10000 HIVE and now I have +20% unrealized profit. Therefore, I do not increase HP now, maybe later.
Don't forget to tag #aliveandthriving, you will get more followers and 5-10 ALIVE coins per post.

It is very bad that I always forget to power up on HPUD. I power up everyday but I realized that there are some benefits attached to powering up on this day.

Oh I remember doing the hpum long ago. It was pure stress to not forget the daily power up.
Hehehehe... It doesn't have to be... I have created a daily/morning routine where I do a couple of things and one of them is to power up... So, it's not that stressing... :)
Nice powerup and it's too bad you missed just a single day. I wonder if there was a way to schedule power-ups in the future as a recurring thing.

You were smart to keep your HE stakes, it seems, even though many lost value over time. I got rid of many of them over time for HIVE (and never had the amounts you had because I wasn't interested in the leaderboard).
I need to take more profits out of games. I haven't taken anything out of Splinterlands for a while because of the land thing. I also have taken little profits out of Rising Star and none for a pretty long time. Conversely, there are games where I decide from the start I want to take most profits out. And others where I grow my account seriously but also take profits. Sometimes it depends on what happens in the game. For example, in one game I wanted to build my character but started to get raided (without any possible defense really), and decided to withdraw as much as possible and put it to LPs for the time being, and the rest stake it in-game. Make it as passive as possible, and not a raid target.
I also prefer being in the 2nd category...

Regarding H-E tokens, that's debatable... lol... What is smart and what is not... I made a lot of mistakes with some of them as it was hard to predict who is a "serious player" in the market, but now things are much clearer...
The CTP was my biggest bag, but I was doing it mostly for the community and not that much to get on the leaderboard... That just happened naturally as I was creating content every single day and accumulated tons of tokens... Maybe it would be better that I sold them before the crash, maybe not... It's similar to growing the GLX stake... The price was higher in the past, but if I sold them, I wouldn't have the stake that I have... Or maybe I would if I would re-buy them when the price is low... So, I'm still not sure what is a "good approach"...
Regarding games, I'm happy that I did differently with the newest two additions to my daily "clicking", the Terracore and GO games... I got in early, literally in the first few hours, invested what was needed, took out the investment after 2-3 days, and the rest are profits... Now, I still build my stake (characters) in the game with earnings, but also take some profits whenever I can... Yes, tokens are cheap, but they can always go lower... You can always add additional decimal places on the tokens... The same goes for big ones like Splinterlands or Rising Star...
Converting HBD to HIVE when its price is low is very reasonable to as well. However, I put a goal of accumulating 1000 HBD. After that, I could do it.
Everyone has different priorities and goals... The most important is to have them... :)

Well, it's not bad to ask things and to be curious about how things are done, but as soon as we realize that OUR own path is unique, we can grow... Collect good ideas, mix them up, and pave your road to success! I believe that's the way to do it and not just "copy" others without adding that special, unique ingredient... :)
