Good Habits .:. May 1st HivePUD

Do you know how I know that I'm in good company here on HIVE?
When I check my following feed and see tons of #HivePUD posts! Then I know that I'm in the right place, surrounded by people who think like me, and who understand the importance of having "skin in the game"... In our case, Hive Power is our skin in the game, it helps us, and others to grow on this platform!

I know that it looks easy when you see many of these posts... You just go to your wallet, power up some HIVE, and you are good to go... It is indeed just a couple of clicks, but not everyone doing it... Also, that HIVE that someone has powered had many other use cases instead of being locked up... It could finance someone's entrance ticket for some HIVE game, it could buy some NFTs, could cover an expense of a coffee, or pay some bills... There are many things that you could do with your HIVE earnings... But those people chose to power up their HIVE tokens!

Understanding the importance of powering up at least part of your earnings shows your maturity and your good understanding of how this blockchain works... So, for all of you that have powered your HIVE today, Happy #HivePUD! Don't forget to do the same the next month, and the month after that... Build good habits and you will be a winner of this "game"!

Regarding my HivePUM badges, I did it again! I wasn't sure that I will be on track for this one, but luckily I did... So, here we are, with 4th consecutive HivePUM badge, which means that I have powered up every single day this year! To be honest, just the past month, I have almost forgotten to do that at least 3-4 times... 😃 It's not an easy task, but it is challenging!

To get this badge, you should power up at least 1 HIVE every day of the month or create a post every day with rewards set to 100% HP...

So, what is #HivePUD?

Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is shortened for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It is organized by great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork and is held every 1st day of a month.

I’m so busy at the moment. Don’t manage to post myself, just a comment here and there for the last month. (And my comment moderating of the thisisawesome community from Erik I can’t forget)
I am occupied with moving countries again, and all that comes along with it.
Started packing last month, than had to stop that and drive over 2 long days to the in-laws to tile their living room floors with handmade terracotta hexagon tiles (I did a post about that last week to tell all what I was doing) than drive back over 2 days. Finish packing and wrapping furniture… last Wednesday the movers picked all up. I just managed to finish all of that. Then a day of cleaning the rental… and last Friday we drove again over 2 long days down to the in-laws to help tile the other half of the floors.
Saturday we hop on a ferry to finally move countries (again… thought I told you my residency was refused and had to move out again)

No rest for the wicked hahaha 🤣 !LOL
We will arrive sometime on Sunday, I rented a house unseen… will be fun to finally see it.
Hope after we receive our belongings I have finally more time again. And fly around 🐝🐝🐝🐝
I am around here each day and still support others, and comment here and there. Just not that obviously as normally 😎😉 I miss it…

Currently, I'm not buying any HIVE with fiat either... Most of my tokens are income from the Hive-Engine tokens and games that I play on HIVE...

You can buy HIVE through Binance... That's how I was doing before... ;)

I literally power up at least one hive everyday and cap it with a bigger power-up everyday of the month. So I mostly don't make any post. Like you've said. There's nothing like having skin in the game I tell you, it shows some great and basic commitment. That's a huge power up from you. Congratulations.

I have to admit that I envy you for your consistency in creating posts every single day! I was doing that before and I know it is possible and doable, but lately, I can't do it... Sometimes, I just didn't inspired to write anything, so I skip days as don't want to transmit my "bad vibes" to others...

Yeah, sometimes, there's really nothing to write about as one doesn't really feel inspired to do so, but I take it upon myself to try and consistently create a post in a day. I believe you can find ways to try and get back to posting daily.

I was curious how many people powered up at least 1k yesterday: 21.

I imagine there are fewer who manage to do it consistently, month after month.

How sad I wasn't able to power up yesterday because of some reason. It means I miss one pud badge and I will miss the PUM this month. I will try again next month.

Last year, I missed the HivePUM because I skipped a day 1-2 times... it sucks a lot... Don't know if is it worse when you skip a day at the beginning, or when have done the whole month, and you fail on the last day... 😃

But, it's just a badge... The important is the long-term view and we can power up whenever we want... ;)

I think it's hurt most when you power up from the first day til 29th day and forgot the last day due to excitement lol.

Yes you're right we can still power up anytime but hopefully I won't miss it again next month.
