IS TECHNOLOGY REALLY THE PROBLEM OR MAN?

Technology as they all say is one f the greatest adventions of the human race. It has not only made our lives easier but better and faster. With the emergence of technological tools, more improved ways of doing things are coming up each and every passing day.

Electronic banking has made banking easier and better for everyone. No need to queue in a long line at the bank anymore . Also, with GPS tracker you can easily locate family, friends and loved ones in case of danger. Communication over long distance is now possible with the advent of video call, voice call and the likes.

The many benefits technology has provided to humans cannot be over emphasized. However, the question of, “if technology has made things easier or more complicated”, is a controversial subject that has been asked in recent times now . I'm afraid it has made things more complicated than usual.

However, the fault shouldn't be attributed to technology. I believe technology is only a tool. And a tool when abused in the wrong hands can become a weapon of danger . However when used in the right hands, such a tool can serve its purpose and bring about advancement. Humans as we all know have a natural tendency to be stubborn, abuse things and go out of order . And unfortunately, technology is one of those tools that has been abused in the hands of many individuals, making it seem as if it is the problem meanwhile, it is the wrong usage of these tools that is the problem.

Finding a perfect balance I believe is key to achieving even more growth and advancement with technology. I say this because many people are guilty of this, myself inclusive. Technology that was meant to aid us, enhance the natural potentials we already possess is now being used to replace our skills and potentials. We have become too dependent on technology that in its absence we struggle to cope and survive.

This shouldn't be the case. We are meant to use these technological devices and tools as an enhancement not a replacement. But unfortunately, they have replaced our skills, human efforts, even basic cognitive performances. It is a shame indeed. I believe, if we can discipline ourselves to use technology correctly, then we can reach our maximum potential and grow. So yes, technology has made life a lot easier, but human activities on the other hand has made it more complicated.
