The process of cutting and sewing of a half bubu kaftan dress for my neighbor.

Happy and blessed New week my fellow needleworker and happy needleworkmonday, it another beautiful week for us to meet together and share our different kinds of work, ideas, tips, patterns and shortcuts and I'm so excited to be here, joining this amazing community is never a regret to me because i learned a lot through different styles of sewing experience from everybody, needleworkmonday is the most beautiful community that makes people understand the facts, it is clare that tailors excit in life, so today I'm here to share the step by steps process of cutting and sewing of a half bubi kaftan dress for my neighbor.

This is the graduation ceremony for both nursery primary schools and secondary schools, my neighbor told me that she will buy some yards of material for herself and her daughter, i know she always gave me an urgent work, i then told her to bring it early not urgent as usual but finally she brought it urgently and the material wasn't enough to sew for her daughter, the material look so beautiful and soft.

It a sifon material and it normally so stress to sew, but a tailor know way to pass through a stubborn material, so since my neighbor dicided to use the material for herself she promise her daughter that she will look for tue same material to buy for her but her customer that sell the material for her told jer ro come back and collect the se material again that he will went to the market and buy for her, so she buy another clothes for her daughter to use for their school graduation ceremony, this time around my neighbor want a long half bubu kaftan dress, she love wearing long gown which os normall look nice on her, i know i have not sewn this half bubu kaftan dress before, i have to go through YouTube but she broight the one that one pf the tailor sewn for her ao she said i should make the side poff to be long and big, since it was so urgent i have to rush and seq for her.
So i spread the material on the floor, i folded it by four the front and the back side so i measured the full length, the shoulder divided by two plus the sleeves allowance, she needed tue sleeves to be so poff and big, so i asded somw allowance for the sleeves armhole length, i marked hee knees point for the half part then i marked the neck points then i cut all of them out.

Finishing with the cutting i then slit out the feomt part because the neck will ne a turtleneck with a mofilar roop, i then wwnt ahead and the neck slit facing and turned it properly.

After the the neck slit i joined the shoulder front and back together.

So i went on cutting the pieces by 5 inches for the neck binding and the roop, then i cut the hand binding also and iron them properly.

So after that i open the shoulder bubu sleeves and bend it very well then i make a pleating at the hem sleeves and bind it very well.

I joined the body together and bend the down hem then i iron it properly.

Here is the final outcome.

The only thing my neighbor did to shows she likes it is the smile, she love the dress so much and the material shows up it beauty.

Thanks so much for stopping by, do have a nice day, Bye.....
