My baby new dress, Making a free gown with a yoke, the step by step process.

Hello my beautiful and handsome people @needleworkmonday community,✂️✂️✂️ happy needleworkmonday and happy blissful monday, i got a beautiful new style online so it was so nice and beautiful with a yoke, i thought about sewing it to my baby girl because i have not sew this style before so making this style will also help me.

I was looking for a nice material to combine because the one i saw online was so beautiful with combination so i couldn't go to the market and search for it so i decided to use my leftover fabric, i like making something free for my her because of her shape, her tummy is not as flat as i want, so this new style is different from all the old ones i made for her and it have been a long time now i haven't sew new clothes for her, although she is not the only one i will be sewing clothes for so i wanted to start with her first before her new born sister, the idea of trying this yoke iis nice because i want to know it.

So i brought out my leftover fabric and i folded it by two, i folded it in flair shape, then i marked out her shoulder divided by two, i measured out her ful lenth then minus 4 inches for the down hem gathers, after that i moved to the neck part which will be the yoke, i measured from the shoulder to 4 inches for the yoke then i took the hamhole length and the body then i cut them out.

After cutting the front side out i folded the fabric again and i placed the front side of the bode and cut the back side.

I also placed the yoke neck part on the remaining fabric and cut them out in four pieces.

I went on placing the down hem part which is the gathers and cut them out and i also joined them together.

Finishing with all the cutting i then went and turned the yoke with facing and i slit the back yoke so it will be easy for the head to pass through.

I went on placing the yoke on the main part of the dress.

I then make a gathers stiches on the hem pieces that i cut, i divided it by two, the front and the back pieces.

I now joined them at the hem of the dress.

After that i cut out the fabric by 1.5 inch then i use it and turned the two side hamhole of the dress properly.

So i took the remaining hem pieces gathers and make a window hand sleeves, i cut the pieces by 1.5 inch and i turned the top part of the gathers carefully then i fixed in.

After closing the body i decided to wear my daughter and check if the body shaping is nice so the neck tight her and i was struggling to removed the dress on her, so i didn't want to stress her with it, i bend the back of tje dress and creat a zipper spare so i pit in a zip at the back so ot turns out so easy for her to wear.

Here is the outcome of it.

It came out so beautiful and the style os so nice, my baby look so excited wearing it, i hope you like it too.

Thanks so much for reading through my post
