Zero capital gains tax from January for Bitcoin holders in Czech Republic
Finally good news from Europe
After the win of Donald Trump in the presidential elections, the sentiment against crypto has completely changed in the United States. But in Europe the situation is still completely different. Italy imposed a taxation of over 40 % on crypto gains. In Belgium banks freeze your bank account if you pay out your crypto profits to your account. And the European Union is absolutely not crypto friendly.
Now, the news has come that Czech Republic has adopted a new law that is active as of the 1st of January, in which crypto gains remain untaxed if it’s not more than 100000 CZK and the assets have been in your possession for at least three years.
Even though there are demands, this is still great news for Europe and it will hopefully influence other countries to adopt more crypto friendly legislation!
Sincerely,

Its a good start but only bit more than peanuts. The three years Are ok but 100.000 CZK? Thats only ~4000€ per year. Not too much that is in the end Tax free. 🫤
I know, but it’s a start!
It is, no doubt. More important though is that the Level of tax is moderate (15-30%) and they don’t introduce those unrealized-gains-tax some „Dream“ about. 🫣
