Exclusive interview

Apparently the biggest Belgian newspaper “Het Laatste Nieuws” had an exclusive interview with Marty Baron, the former editor of The Washington Post. And again the narrative is incredibly biased.

Marty Baron is very disappointed in his former newspaper because they aren’t endorsing any presidential candidate this year. He says it is because Jeff Bezos, the owner of the newspaper got intimidated by Donald Trump.

He calls the Trump clan The Oligarchs because Bezos and Elon Musk are on his side. But he forgets to mention that Harris is supported by Marc Cuban, George Soros, etc…
Trump and Harris are sponsored by different billionaires but that doesn’t make any of them oligarchs.

Threat for democracy

His most important statement is that he thinks that if Donald Trump gets elected, he won’t want to give away his power in 4 years. He says Trump will try to abolish the constitution and become a dictator…

I really was baffled by this statement and had to read it twice. Of course if he gets elected he will try to give the presidency in four years to a candidate that suits him. But overthrowing the constitution? I don’t think so. I am more afraid for the democracy if Harris wins! Especially for free speech, which is already in trouble!
