France parts from “Low emission zones”

Socially unfair

As of 2019 everyone driving through France had to buy a sticker for his car that identified his polluting the car was. The more polluting, the more the sticker costs. And in some cities the biggest polluters weren’t allowed anymore. These places were called “Low emission zones”.

But now a law has been voted to completely part from the low emission zones legislation. Because it is socially unfair. The poorest people can only buy the most polluting cars as they are the least expensive ones. Which punished the people for being “poor”. Which is indeed socially very unjust. So, in a few months, the “Low emission zones” in France will be a thing of the past.

Let’s hope they do the same in Belgium!

Sincerely,

it's really a good one to overturn the law as it is now favourable to the poor.
