European Relance fund isn't as "green" as it pretends to be!

Green washing

You have all probably heard of the term "Green washing", but I will explain it just for those who haven't. Green washing happens when corporations or firms do investments in which they pretend to do them to make their production processes or their products environmentally friendlier, aka "Greener". But in reality the investment isn't "Green" at all.
It happens all over the world, but it is incredibly despicable when it happens with tax money. And that is exactly what has happened in the European Union in the last few years.

The Calculation Chamber has calculated that a whopping 34.5 billion EUR that was used from the EU Relance Fund, specifically installed to give money to firms to make their production processes greener, actually was used for questionnable investments that don't have an impact on the environment at all. To the contrary, some investments in waste water management actually damaged the environment.

Waste of Tax Euros

This shows once again that government involvement in the private sector is not always a good idea, and especially when it comes to handing out tax money. It opens the door for corruption, green washing, sports washing, money laundering, etc...

The private sector should be incentivized, but not by granting them blanc cheques.

The European Union is rotten to the bone, sadly...

Sincerely,

Greetings,
The so called Environmentally friendly investments, has been misused with a billion EUR going to questionable projects causing more harm than good.
How can we bring those bad elements from government to answer for their wrong doings?
