Dutch left wing party wants 75% inheritance tax

Inheritance tax has never been the most popular tax of the bunch. As people find being taxed on the estate of your parents or family, which already has been taxed multiple times, very unreasonable. And I get them, there is something to say for that!

But yesterday a politician of a Dutch left wing party made a proposition on prime time television that really shocked a lot of people.
They want to give everyone the first 100000 EUR inheritance for free, but anything above that they want to tax at a flat rate of 75 %. That is an incredible amount, and is close to communism, in which the state owns everything…

The world has gone mad when it comes to taxation. There seems to be no limit for taxation these days…

Inheritance tax is the most non-acceptable form of tax! There shouldn't be such thing at all. Inheritance should be a direct transfer of ownership and that's it!

This notion shows how greedy these so called representatives of people are.

From another perspective, some may see the goal as reducing class disparities and preventing the accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few.
